Hitachi Energy is advancing sustainability in its Mysore transformer insulation factory in India.  As part of our commitment to Hitachi Energy’s sustainability 2030 targets, our teams are taking strong actions to reduce Hitachi Energy’s environmental footprint and use resources more efficiently.  At our Mysore facility, we will take a pioneering step by replacing the last fossil-fuel boiler, ensuring this becomes a pressboard production site that does not use fossil fuels for process heat generation. The facility already consumes only fossil-fuel free electricity, thus making this an ultra low carbon facility. This is in addition to Mysore’s existing sustainable initiatives and shows how each step brings Hitachi Energy closer to a sustainable energy future. Kudos to our team members in Mysore. Hitachi Energy has secured a contract worth up to $700 million with E.ON to deliver critical transformers for Germany’s rapidly expanding power grid. As electricity demand surges, Germany is investing heavily in infrastructure to ensure its energy system remains secure, resilient and affordable. This partnership helps address the global transformer shortage and supports Germany’s clean energy transition by accelerating grid modernization and capacity.
