    Summary:
    There is a constant digital revolution in the technology area, which is changing the customers´ demand and the way the companies operate. The Telecom Providers are totally affected by this revolution.
    As part of the digital revolution a new concept has emerged this decade: “Big Data”. It promises efficiencies and business transformation, and the companies are starting to embrace it. This research analyses what Big Data is and how a Telecom Provider can leverage this concept.
    The research recommends a One Year Plan and a Three Years Plan for the department following the guidelines to define a digital strategy. The plan will create strategic value thanks to faster, better and proactive decisions; and will improve efficiencies in the department by automating tasks, eliminating redundant tools and developing new processes.
