They took the opportunity to talk to leading Turkish manufacturers, of course! ✈️ Preparing to be on the road again, and more motivated than ever. I am feeling the pulse of our industry in every step of the way. While this pulse is currently slightly slower, the global economic outlook remains uncertain, and these times demand more than just simple resilience, it is becoming even more important to rely on genuine collaboration and a shared belief in the future. That’s exactly why I’m currently travelling across markets, meeting with long-standing partners and new prospects alike. To reflect on #LIGNA25, to challenge and develop ideas for new visions, and to build momentum for LIGNA 2027. For us - and you hopefully - it is more than “just” a trade fair. It is and remains to be a community. So let’s see it that way: We are not just preparing for an event, we are sharing the same belief. Morning rises over Nagoya – and Mokkiten, Japan's most important trade fair for woodworking and wood processing, begins. As part of our long-term close partnership with the Japan Woodworking Machinery Association (JWMA), it is a great honour for me to be part of the opening ceremony. Together with Dennis Bieselt from the VDMA and my colleague Masahito Takeo, I wish our partners and friends a great and successful event! Wood has a very special importance and tradition as a material in Japan. The new design of the German joint stand has come at just the right time – it's perfect for the theme! We are looking forward to a successful trade fair here in Nagoya and, of course, we are already eagerly awaiting the next LIGNA, which will take place again in Hannover in May 2027! #ligna27

LIGNA on Tour… It felt like home turf, but it was the state next door: North Rhine Westphalia and the home of many hidden champions and market leaders - one of them being Altendorf Group, a long-standing great partner of LIGNA and the team. What do our partners need to make their participation valuable and successful? 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙨 𝙠𝙚𝙮! Especially when talking about attracting visitor target groups prior to the show. LIGNA on Tour – Exploring the Forestry Industry! 🌲 Over the past few weeks, our colleague Meike Sauer has gained exciting insights into the latest trends and developments in the forestry sector. She attended two German key events to network and exchange ideas with industry experts. 📅 On September 5, she participated in the Future Forest Forum at Schloss Blankenburg, organized by the Future Forest Initiative. The agenda featured high-level presentations and panel discussions on forest management, all set in the impressive surroundings of the historic castle. It was a perfect mix of knowledge sharing and valuable networking. 📅 On September 14, she visited the DLG Waldtage in Lichtenau – a hands-on forestry event set right in the forest, where large-scale machinery was showcased in action. Meike had the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations and connect with many professionals from the field, including Martin Schwarz and Dr. Lukas Emmerich from Wald und Holz NRW, as well as Dr. Maurice Strunk, Vera Butterweck-Kruse, and Ines Magdalena Brüling from DFUV - Netzwerk der Forstunternehmen und Forsttechnik e.V.. Thank you for all your insights! These events once again highlight how important it is to stay in close dialogue and keep up with the latest advancements in forestry technology and management.
