Chair, Division of Nursing

The Chair of the Division of Nursing (DON) provides academic and administrative leadership for the BSN, Accelerated BSN, RN to BSN, and MSN programs, ensuring excellence in teaching, curriculum, accreditation, and student outcomes.

Qualifications include:

  • a doctorate in Nursing or related field (required);
  • a master of science in Nursing (MSN);
  • an active RN licensure in Pennsylvania;
  • experience in undergraduate nursing education and program administration; and
  • familiarity with CCNE and Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • overseeing undergraduate and graduate Nursing programs;
  • leading faculty recruitment, mentoring, and development;
  • ensuring program compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements;
  • managing curriculum design, assessment, and continuous improvement;
  • supporting student recruitment, retention, and success;
  • collaborating on budgeting, strategic planning, and university initiatives; and
  • promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the division.

Preferred qualifications include experience implementing innovative nursing education strategies and a record of clinical and teaching experience.
