Decarbonising construction at scale? Collaboration is the key lever 🤝 If we're serious about reducing carbon emissions in our industry, good intentions and small steps aren't enough. We need strong partnerships to broaden the reach. That's why I'm genuinely excited about Heidelberg Materials' newly signed Memorandum of Understanding with Arup, one of the world's leading built environment consultancies. Both partners will engage in joint research cooperation and technical analysis of the opportunities to deploy CCS. Our goal is to advance the understanding of CCS's potential future contribution to build environment decarbonisation. With evoZero, Heidelberg Materials has the first carbon captured cement available globally. This is an essential step in unlocking decarbonisation of the cement sector, starting with Europe – and one we're proud to take together with Arup!
