Space Conference 2025 highlighted Denmark’s bold ambitions in space, defense, and national resilience—with more than 300 participants from across Europe and beyond discussing international cooperation, future infrastructure, and European collaboration.   This event was a great opportunity for our CEO Carsten Drachmann to confirm GomSpace's intention to continue to firmly support Denmark’s goals for defense and national surveillance. Our expertise in cutting-edge small-satellite technology positions us as a proactive partner, delivering mission-critical solutions and supporting Denmark’s drive for stronger national surveillance and European leadership.   It was also the occasion to support the next generation of space innovators! We were proud to participate in the Aalborg Youth Space Conference, where Danish high school students tackled real-world space project work through the GomSpace business case. By collaborating closely with our engineers (including Mikael Juhl Kristensen), students develop solutions to industry challenges and showcase their innovations at a national conference.   On October 20th, students presented their projects at Musikkens Hus, Aalborg, in front of leaders like ESA astronaut Andreas Mogensen, Denmark’s Minister for Education and Research Christina Egelund, and our CEO Carsten Drachmann. The event featured inspiring keynotes and future-focused discussions.   By engaging directly with young minds, GomSpace fosters creativity, encourages STEM careers, and helps shape the future of space exploration.   We were also honored to welcome a delegation from the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science (UFM) and the European Space Attachés—26 participants—at GomSpace HQ. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our production site and connect our visitors with our team of passionate space experts.   Many thanks to Aalborg University, ESA, EUSPA, the European Commission, our staff, and esteemed guests for making these events possible. Happy to share that GomSpace signed a 8.4 MSEK contract for Europe’s Planetary Defense & Space Exploration!   We’re proud to support European Space Agency - ESA’s Hera mission together with SPACEBEL, providing advanced mission operations for the Juventas satellite — part of Europe’s planetary defense effort to study the Didymos–Dimorphos asteroid system. Our HOOP Mission Control platform will enable autonomous operations from ESA’s ESEC center in Belgium, marking another milestone for European deep-space innovation. GomSpace has secured a significant contract valued at EUR 760,000 (8.5 MSEK) with the European Space Agency - ESA to accelerate the development of its next-generation Attitude and Orbit Control Software (AOCS) to be rolled-out in the next 18 months. This contract marks a pivotal step in advancing satellite positioning and orientation capabilities for both commercial and governmental space missions.   With a proven track record spanning over 75 satellite missions, GomSpace will leverage its extensive expertise to develop a state-of-the-art AOCS platform. The forthcoming software will offer enhanced maintainability aimed at improving long-term support and maintenance to ensure operational reliability. It will also enable greater flexibility to accommodate evolving mission profiles and requirements. GomSpace signs 2.1 MEUR contract extensions with European Tech Firm Following the June 25, 2025 announcement of a contract for 18 satellites with a confidential European customer, GomSpace has signed two amendments to the agreement, addressing new strategic needs identified by the customer — including the accelerated delivery of two satellites.
