What began as a way to create simple plastic prototypes has now become a real game-changer! By embracing 3D printing, we’ve turned bold ideas into reality - developing our first 3D-printed metal component, a lightweight power conductor that replaces a traditional copper busbar. The result? A solution that’s more efficient, cost-effective and sustainable. This marks an exciting step forward in how we design and build for the wind industry. 3D printing gives our engineers the freedom to explore new shapes, reduce material use and integrate smarter functions - designs that simply couldn’t be made using conventional manufacturing methods. As our colleague Jørgen D. Vestergaard explains in EnergiWatch, the technology is transforming how we think and innovate - unlocking new possibilities for the future of wind technology. 👇 Read more in the article below (in Danish). https://lnkd.in/dGdgsrhE

Back in 2019, we were asked to design a thermal management system for a new type of powertrain with batteries, motors, and inverters. Emil Wieck Davidsen (left on photo) took the first steps, sketching out ideas and shaping the early concept. After the first pitch, Erik Friis joined in as his “partner in crime” and together they refined the design and pushed the project forward. Out of this collaboration, the Multi Valve Block was born. The result is a compact and robust solution for industrial vehicles moving into electrification. A small but powerful component that helps the system make the most of every bit of battery power. In many ways, it’s the heart of the cooling system, where cooling and electrification meet in the purest way. And while the component itself is small, the impact is big. In heavy-duty industries, electrification means reduced fuel use, quieter operation, and lower emissions. The Multi Valve Block is one of the pieces helping to make that shift possible. This innovation comes from our Cooling Division - born out of the acquisition of Nissens Cooling Solutions. It’s a story of curiosity, persistence, and teamwork, turning a challenge into a breakthrough for cleaner energy. Pretty cool, right?

Szczecin is the beating heart of Poland’s wind industry, and a significant manufacturing and logistics hub for wind energy projects across Europe and beyond. Following a 2-day visit to our production facilities in the city this week, our CEO Mauricio F. Quintana had the pleasure of hosting a roundtable dinner with participation of officials from the City of Szczecin, the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, with universities and a select range of industry leaders to discuss the state of the wind energy buildout, and challenges and opportunities for future growth in West Pomerania; with highlights including: Poland is poised for a significant uptick in wind energy in the years to come, where increasing buildout on- and offshore, together with repowering of older wind farms, will contribute significantly to Poland’s green, secure, and competitive energy supply. The wind industry is long established Polish success story, due to strong skillsets, infrastructure and a competitive supply base. Today, almost one in two working in the Polish energy sector are in the wind energy industry. To lock in future growth and a robust and profitable Polish value chain, it’s important to keep a stable and predictable regulatory environment, and to attract, up- and reskill talent to work in the sector, including young people when choosing their future career path. We’re proud to have been part of the industrial ecosystem around Szczecin for more than 20 years, during which our company has grown from being a relatively small player, to now hosting our largest global manufacturing facility in Szczecin, employing +1350 highly skilled colleagues in our factories and city offices. Thank you, Janusz Gajowiecki and Dominika Taranko for co-organizing and joining us in Szczecin!

Are you working from home today? Flexibility is not about replacing the workplace - it is about combining presence and freedom in a way that benefits both colleagues and the company. That is why we believe remote work has a clear value: as a supplement that makes us stronger. Our CHRO, Birgitte Ladefoged, shares more perspectives in this piece 👇
A recent debate on remote work shows just how sensitive and important this topic is. Some argue that physical presence is a prerequisite for innovation, collaboration and culture. Others point to flexibility as essential for retaining and attracting talented employees. At KK Wind Solutions, we recognize both perspectives. We have many colleagues whose roles cannot be performed from home. We believe in the value of meeting in person, and we know that some types of collaboration simply work best when people are gathered around the same table. But we also see clearly that remote work and flexibility are not in conflict with productivity and community - on the contrary, they can be a strength for both the company and its employees. When we give colleagues the freedom to structure their work, we see higher engagement, reduced sick leave and greater well-being. That means less time spent commuting and more time used effectively when working from home - as well as the possibilities to create a better balance between professional and personal life, without compromising the standards we set for employees. At the same time, flexibility opens the door to talent that does not necessarily live close to our locations. We can attract and retain skilled specialists - whether they are based in Aalborg, Athens or Ahmedabad, because we make it possible for them to be part of our community without having to be physically present every day. This broadens our talent base and strengthens the company globally. In our international organization, flexibility allows colleagues in India, Poland and other countries to work in ways that suit local conditions, while remaining closely connected across cultures and time zones. Of course, traffic in Copenhagen on a Monday morning or on the E45 between Vejle and Aarhus can be frustrating – but that is nothing compared to what our colleagues face in Bangalore, India, or in Tianjin, China. Ensuring that employees can benefit from flexible working across a global organization requires clear leadership, trust and accountability. We believe people thrive best when they are met with respect and freedom with responsibility. We view flexibility as an investment: when we show trust in our employees, we receive it back many times over in the form of dedication and collaboration. This is why we believe remote work has a clear value. Not as a replacement for the community of the workplace, but as a supplement that makes us stronger. For us, it is not about choosing between productivity and flexibility - it is about combining the two, for the benefit of both the company and our people.
