It was great to see the many initiatives and engagement connected to last week’s World Mental Health Day. It showcased that mental health indeed touches every one of us. When brain health is compromised, the impact ripples outward, affecting not just individuals but also families, friends, and entire communities. I am proud to lead an organization of people championing better access to mental health care every day. Around the world, our teams marked World Mental Health Day with activities and events that sparked meaningful dialogue about well-being and support, both within and beyond the workplace. Just to highlight a few examples from our Asian colleagues: in Japan, our team co-hosted a seminar on youth mental health with patients, experts, and support groups. In China, colleagues partnered with the depression patient community Dogo for the “Green Ribbon Campaign”. In both countries, more than 30 landmarks were illuminated in green and silver, a powerful reminder that mental health conversations matter. And in South Korea, our team held a meditation session in the office and led a nationwide radio campaign to raise awareness about the importance of proper mental health treatment. Advancing brain health requires collective action. Only together, we can break stigma, deepen understanding, and build a world where everyone affected by brain disorders feels seen, supported, and empowered. #WorldMentalHealthDay #Neuroscience #Lundbeck
