A former Justice Department investigator was recorded making claims that President Donald Trump is protecting individuals connected to the Jeffrey Epstein case while withholding the release of related files.
Glenn Prager, who identifies himself as having interviewed Epstein victims, made the statements during a hidden-camera recording on a flight from Phoenix to Washington, DC. The video was published Wednesday, September 24, by James O'Keefe, founder of Project Veritas.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Prager has more than 25 years of government oversight and investigation experience, including roles at the Department of Justice and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

"I've interviewed all the victims," Prager said. "There's never been an instance where Trump was on a plane with these kids and the rapes occurred."
"People want to tie it to [Trump] and say he's covering up for himself, but he's not," Prager stated.
However, Prager suggested Trump's reluctance to release Epstein files stems from protecting others rather than himself.
"He's so hesitant to show what's going on with releasing all his files. I think he's protecting a lot of other people," Prager said.
Prager also disputed Trump's characterization of the Epstein matter as a "hoax."
"I mean, come on," he said. "You know it's not a hoax... He says a lot of stupid stuff. He's been on the plane, now, many times. It's just, he was never on the plane with the kids."

"While Bill Clinton was on [Epstein's] plane, there were rapes that occurred," Prager said, adding: "And that's where the big cover-up was."
Prager also claimed Epstein "was a CIA informant," stating this information would soon become public knowledge.
"This individual [Glenn Prager] worked at the Department of Justice as a program analyst over 15 years ago. He has no understanding of, or access to, the underlying facts in this investigation. His statements should not be considered accurate. It is disgusting that someone would further exploit victims of sexual abuse by fabricating stories for their personal benefit," a DOJ spokesperson said.
The White House referred comment requests to the Justice Department regarding Prager's claims.
"Senior DOJ Investigator who says he interviewed victims for the government's Epstein case spills the beans on a hidden camera," Massie wrote on X.
Trump has previously stated he distanced himself from Epstein after the financier was placed on the sex offender registry in 2008 following a guilty plea to solicitation charges involving a minor.
