Senator Mitch McConnell, 83, 'all good' after falling in senate office building

Senator Mitch McConnell, the 83-year-old Republican from Kentucky and the longest-serving party leader in Senate history, was caught on video falling forward while walking in the basement of the Russell Senate Office Building on Thursday afternoon.

The incident occurred as activists from the Sunrise Movement confronted him with questions about the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), specifically regarding allegations of ICE "taking working people off the streets and kidnapping them."

The footage shows McConnell losing his balance and falling to his knees, after which an aid and a Capitol Police officer promptly helped him back to his feet. After recovering, McConnell turned to the camera, waved, and appeared to be unharmed. A spokesperson for McConnell confirmed to multiple outlets that the senator is "all good."

This incident illustrates ongoing concerns and public attention regarding Senator McConnell’s health. He has experienced multiple falls and medical episodes in recent years. Notably:
