Maru Group company 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘂 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 for the plant, from design to delivery. The Paljassaare 110 MW heat pump plant will start providing heat to the district heating network in 2026, reducing the share of fossil fuel used in the capital city’s district heating to less than 10% by 2027. The plant is estimated to be comparable to 15,000 local, 7.5 kW heat pumps, with Friotherm AG supplying the main equipment. A few months ago, the European Heat Pump Association announced that if just 7% of European homes – around 14 million – switched from fossil fuel boilers to heat pumps, the EU could cut 13 billion cubic metres of gas and save up to 5.5 billion Euros. „This is equivalent to the gas it imports from Russia for household heating,“ was the message. Link to their press release: https://lnkd.in/dgF3P3wb This double-target mission resonates perfectly with Maru Group, who also built all three synchronous compensator stations operating in Estonia, and has been contracted to design and build several state-of-the-art energy-efficient production facilities. Kudos to Utilitas, and main contractor KMG Infra for this investment in new climate-friendly technologies. #MaruGroup #EnergyIndependence #HeatPumps #Tallinn #Utilitas #MaruMetall #CleanEnergy

MDSC Systems has just received an opportunity to significantly enhance Estonia’s defence capabilities, and we intend to use it well. Together with our partner 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐮 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥, we have secured the 𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 in the history of MDSC Systems – a €150 million framework agreement to produce next-generation 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀 and medical aid stations for the Estonian Defence Forces and the 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗵𝘂𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀. The massive investment signed with the Estonian Centre for Defence Investments // Riigi Kaitseinvesteeringute Keskus allows for rolling orders, maintenance, and essential user training. In terms of Estonian defence capabilities, it will mean both Infantry Brigades will be equipped with modern, rapidly deployable medical facilities. Our mobile hospitals have saved lives on the battlefield in Ukraine and helped the island of Saaremaa survive the COVID-19 pandemic, so they have gone through baptism by fire. However, it is 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 that will further strengthen Estonia’s and NATO’s defence capabilities. That’s exactly what the long-term contract will allow MDSC Systems to focus on. #MaruGroup #DefenceIndustry #FieldHospitals #MobileSolutions #EstonianDefence #LithuanianDefence #RKIK #MaruDefence #MDSCSystems #Innovation #NATO #ECDI #EstonianDefenceForces

Maru Ehitus 𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐧'𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐜𝐤-𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭! We're adding four new buildings to the Lennuradari business park, developed by our client EVERAUS Kinnisvara – bringing the total to seven modern commercial spaces. The 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐜𝐤-𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭, which originated in Scandinavia and is now booming in the Baltics, is transforming commercial real estate. Tallinn leads the Baltic capitals in available stock-office space, and here's why the concept is so popular: 🔹 It’s an 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞-𝐢𝐧-𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 that brings warehouse, office, and showroom under one roof. 🔹 It brilliantly serves SMEs and e-commerce businesses that need flexibility without the high cost of a downtown office or the logistical challenges of a massive suburbian warehouse. 🔹 Stock-Office centres rely on connectivity, and Lennuradari is no exception, boasting easy access to Tallinn Airport, the Tallinn ring road, and ports. The Lennuradari project seeks efficiencies in the construction process, too. As Maru Ehitus CEO Margo Dengo noted, the multi-building project allowed for the use of the highly efficient 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 – a production-line approach applied to construction. The streamlining is clearly reaping benefits: Valeria Kiisk, PhD, Partner at Redgate , who advised Everaus on the bond issue, confirmed that construction is "ahead of schedule by all means! All supported by healthy demand from tenants.“ #MaruGroup #Everaus #MaruEhitus #BuildingConstruction #RealEstate #StockOffice #Tallinn #Estonia

"𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 – 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝗽𝘁" is the powerful core message of this video by Neo Performance Materials, showing how the opening of Europe’s first rare earth magnet factory in Narva turned global eyes upon Estonia. Huge thanks to Neo Performance Materials for sharing this video that explains the true meaning and course of this project. The time-lapse sequence perfectly showcases this achievement. What was accomplished by our visionary client, our Maru Group companies – we were the designers and builders –, and other dedicated partners was done 𝗶𝗻 𝟱𝟬𝟬 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀. On time, on budget, and on spec. As the video puts it, this factory was built "at the speed of necessity, responding to customer demand, without compromising our responsible launch curve…" Neo Performance Materials is making a powerful commitment to fast-forward the world’s transition to net zero and digital transformation technologies. 𝐖𝐞. 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬. ✨ The Neo Performance Materials magnet factory took 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟓𝟎𝟎 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝, a feat that – according to NPM executives – takes four to five times as long in the USA. The All-Stars lineup: Design by Norte, general contracting by Maru Ehitus, steel structures by 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐮 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥, assembly by Maru THM, concrete works by Maru Betoonitööd OÜ. It’s such a huge project, because: 𝟏. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞, 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐬. We are talking about Europe’s first production plant for rare-earth magnets. As NPM puts it it, these are the „first Made-in-Europe magnets to meet the specifications of Tier 1 traction motor manufacturers and major automotive original equipment manufacturers.“ Indeed, initial contracts with German auto suppliers Schaeffler and Bosch have been signed. 𝟐. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐚 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐪𝐮𝐨𝐭𝐞! For the fun of it, let’s recount EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen’s memorable words at the G7 Summit in Canada, back in June. “I brought with me a permanent magnet. Not just any magnet—this is a rare earth permanent magnet. It was manufactured in Estonia, by a Canadian company using raw materials sourced from Australia, and supported by the EU’s Just Transition Fund… And where does it end up? In German and French electric vehicles and wind turbines. This small object tells a much bigger story—a story we are writing together.” 𝟑. 𝐖𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠-𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲. According to NPM’s President & CEO, Rahim Suleman, this is just the beginning. „Customers are chasing us,” Suleman told FT, predicting a three-fold increase in demand over the next decade. Already, an output increase from 2000t to 5000t of the facility is anticipated, with another 300–400 new employees getting hired over the next 18 months. 𝟒. 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬. The magnet factory now employs nearly 100 people, among them engineers and scientists from Estonia, Slovenia, Brazil, Spain, and Egypt. Vasileios Tsianos, NPM's Vice President of Development, told Äripäev that these people are renowned PhDs in magnet science who previously had to stick to academic research, as they had no industrial facility in any Western country where they could apply their skills. "These are people who choose to move to Estonia, raise families here, and build something bigger than what we started with in Narva,“ he said. Maru Group hopes to be a part of NPM's long-term plans in Estonia, as designing and building high-tech production facilities is our X-factor. #NeoPerformanceMaterials #MaruGroup #MaruEhitus #MaruBetoonitööd #MaruMetall #MaruTHM #Norte #Magnequench #Estonia #Innovation #Sustainability #Growth #RareEarthMagnets #EstoniaInvestments

This is the moment Elcogen’s new manufacturing facility, built by Maru Ehitus, was officially powered on. Just like you, the 300 guests at the opening ceremony saw this moment via a screen, as a solid oxide technology facility is not a place for roaming around. You can tell by the smile on the face of Maru Ehitus CEO Margo Dengo how he feels. 🌍 For Estonian-born Elcogen, the launch marks a pivotal step in scaling up the company’s role in the global energy transition, making the company one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of high-efficiency Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) and Electrolysis (SOEC) technology. 🏗️ For Maru Ehitus, as well as Norte, 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐮 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥, and Maru THM who contributed to the project with design, steel production and assembly, this was a proud moment of presenting 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐱 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡-𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐚. A day before, Elcogen CEO and founder Enn Õunpuu had praised the cooperation on the national radio: "All the engineering solutions had been so carefully thought through that it left no room for surprises during the construction process." He also noted that the construction had actually cost less than expected. 𝗔 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗹. These two pictures, taken nearly a 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁, tell the story of a historical Tallinn landmark. They show the Tallinn Hippodrome from the same vantage point—first as it stood pre-WWII, and now as it begins its new life as a modern quarter. As with many grand projects, the rebirth starts underground. The historic Hippodrome, opened in 1923, survived a wartime bombing and a 1961 fire. For decades, it continued to serve its purpose until a few years ago, when the site was ready for its next chapter. That chapter has now begun. Maru Betoonitööd OÜ is a key partner in this massive transformation, constructing a 250-meter underground tunnel beneath the new quarter. We are providing this as a turnkey service to our client, Mapri Ehitus OÜ, a project that involves installing 5,300 m² of formwork, placing 650 tons of reinforcement steel, and casting nearly 4,000 m³ of concrete. 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿 Our group company MDSC Systems team needs over 20 new assembly workers to keep up with the expansion of our container solutions production. So, our HR Manager Ave Nermann and Office Assistant Annett Pärs went looking for new team members at a recruitment event this week, organised by the state-backed Unemployment Insurance Fund Eesti Töötukassa. Our booth drew massive interest, with at least 100 job seekers stopping by during the two-hour event. Ave recounts five key learnings from the day: 𝗕𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴. 𝗔𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀. This is the most important thing, as you can ruin your company’s reputation by as much as a grumpy „Hello!“. People have questions, and you are there to answer them. You must also answer the questions of those who don’t seem to be the right match. 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹. You are a walking billboard, so make yourself a representative of your company. Wear your brand on T-shirts. Set up banners. 𝗗𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁-𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀. If you think you can get away with 50 sheets of print-outs, take another 50 with you – that’s exactly what we wished we had done after running out of our flyers after the first hour. (Sorry, trees! Job seekers just need some privacy studying the one-pager. Luckily, asking people to take photos is plan B.) 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻. Candidates want direct answers. The top three questions we heard were about location, type of work (and if it’s suitable for women), and pay. Be ready with honest, specific answers. 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲. What makes you a great place to work, and does it matter for candidates? For us, job seekers valued the chance to work a single shift (no nights), have an easily accessible location via a city bus, and work indoors. And it was much appreciated that for heavy loads, MDSC uses a crane, not humans. Of the at least 1,000 visitors at the event, Ave spoke with several candidates she would happily hire. We're looking forward to seeing who takes the next step. MDSC is known for our Maru Defence and Rolling Unit brands, which create mobile expandable spaces for global markets. #MaruGroup #Recruitment #Hiring #MDSC #JobFair #HumanResources #EestiTöötukassa

Maru Defence has just returned from MSPO 2025 in Poland, the 𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗼 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗘𝗘 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 and the third most important one in Europe. And, it is growing. With a record 30,000 visitors and over 700 exhibitors from 39 countries, the event demonstrated its growing global influence. Maru Defence was proud to be part of the 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, which included 15 companies and high-level political representatives. In the first photo below, Tanel Rõõm of Maru is discussing Maru Defence solutions with Hanno Pevkur, Estonia's Minister of Defence. A central theme this year was "Polonization," reflecting Poland's shift from a defense importer to a market influencer. With a defense budget projected to reach 4.7% of GDP this year—the highest share among NATO allies—Poland is actively prioritizing local production and technology transfer. This was evident in the significant deals struck by major Polish defense groups, WB Group and PGZ. Following daily news quoting world leaders, it is easy to fall under the impression that tensions drive the relations of allies. Expos like MSPO, however, are a hub for strategic cooperation. The signing of many agreements, MoUs and letters of intent were announced during the MSPO, including between partners from Poland, Sweden, Taiwan, Finland, Korea, Ukraine, and USA. https://lnkd.in/dkCFf-Kz #MaruGroup #MSPO2025 #MaruDefence #MobileSolutions #FieldHospitals #DefenseIndustry #Security #NATO #Defense
🚀 A Successful Week at MSPO 2025! This year’s MSPO was an incredible experience! Over the course of four days, we had the chance to showcase our product to a wide range of interested visitors and receive valuable feedback directly from end-users. It was also inspiring to hear in Poland just how important a role mobile solutions — including mobile field hospitals — play in today’s landscape. Likewise, we had the honor of speaking with the Estonian Minister of Defence, which made the event even more meaningful for us.This input is invaluable for us as we continue developing and refining our solutions. A huge thank you to the organizers for putting together such a well-run event — we truly appreciate it. Looking forward to seeing you all again next year! #MSPO2025 #MaruDefence #MobileSolutions #FieldHospitals #Innovation #Defence
