On World Mental Health Day, we recognize that hunger is a physical crisis and emotional and psychological burden. It weakens the body, and it weighs heavily on the mind, dignity, and daily life. At the Egyptian Food Bank, we respond with holistic support that goes beyond food. We nourish with dignity and restore mental resilience. #WorldMentalHealthDay #EgyptianFoodBank #MentalHealthMatters #FoodSecurity #DignityFirst #HolisticRelief #TechForGood #SmartRelief #ZeroHunger #ProudlyEgyptian

Every young person deserves a fair chance — a chance to grow, to work, and to belong. At Egyptian Food Bank, we’ve always believed that true empowerment begins with opportunity. That’s why we’re proud to announce the signing of a collaboration protocol with Sanad for Alternative Parental Care سند للرعاية الوالدية البديلة — a step forward toward enabling youth who have grown up in care institutions to transition confidently into independent, fulfilling lives. The event began with inspiring keynote remarks from Mr. Mohsen Sarhan Ali , CEO of Egyptian Food Bank, and Mrs. Azza Abdel Hamid, Founder and Chairperson of Sanad Association, who both emphasized the shared vision of empowering youth through opportunity, inclusion, and sustainable development. Through this partnership, we aim to equip these young men and women with life and vocational skills, practical training, and income-generating opportunities within care institutions — helping them build self-reliance while also supporting the sustainability of the homes they come from. The Egyptian Food Bank’s role goes beyond providing food support — we are designing and implementing food-related projects inside care institutions, creating sustainable income streams that also serve as hands-on training spaces for youth. These projects will allow them to learn, work, and earn, giving them the tools and experience they need to thrive beyond care. On the sidelines of the signing, we hosted a panel discussion titled “Employment as a Bridge to the Integration of Youth from Care Institutions.” The session — moderated by Menna Walid, Program Innovation Officer at EFB — brought together experts and practitioners including Dr. Mohamed Elkaramany, Ph.D., MPP, Rasha Salem, Yasmine El-Hagry and Khaled El Sayed to discuss the challenges faced by young graduates of care homes and explore ways to better prepare them for the job market, strengthen institutional support systems, and ensure their long-term stability and independence. Together with Sanad, we’re building a future where empowerment is not a promise, but a pathway — one where no potential goes untapped, and every young person has the chance to begin again. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this partnership possible: Yasmine El-Hagry, Sally Sobhy, Dr. Bassem El Zohairy, Lamiaa Said, Noha M. Youssef - MBA, and Mona Abdelnaby, as well as Asma Haroun, MBA, Aya Elmenoufy and our event MC Nourane Khaled, MPH, EFB’s Program Innovation Manager. Your dedication and belief in this mission are what bring true change to life. #EgyptianFoodBank #SanadAssociation #YouthEmpowerment #SocialImpact #Sustainability #PartnershipsForChange #CommunityDevelopment

Through our school and nursery feeding programs, the Egyptian Food Bank delivered more than 8.8 million meals between July 2024 and June 2025 — including 6.52 million meals for nurseries and 2.35 million meals for schoolchildren. These meals are more than numbers. They represent healthy growth, sharper concentration, and a stronger start for Egypt’s youngest learners. Because when we invest in food security for children, we invest in the future of education itself. #EgyptianFoodBank #SchoolFeeding #NutritionForLearning #ChildNutrition #EducationForAll #ZeroHunger #FeedingFutures #CommunityImpact #SustainableSupport #ChildDevelopment

Back to school means new books, new lessons… and for too many children, new challenges. A classroom should be filled with learning — not hunger. That’s why we provided 2.35 million meals to schoolchildren last academic year. Because no child should think of how is he/she going to eat. #EgyptianFoodBank #BackToSchool #FeedingFutures #ChildNutrition #FoodSecurity #EducationForAll #NutritionForLearning #ZeroHunger #CommunityImpact #SustainableSupport
