Orascom Construction continues to strengthen collaboration with leading universities to advance safety culture and practical engineering education across the construction sector As part of this broader approach, OC has signed a cooperation protocol with the Engineering College of Alexandria University, focused on the exchange of practical experience and training resources, with particular emphasis on Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices. This initiative builds on OC’s ongoing engagement with academic institutions, including Cairo University, reinforcing our commitment to raising industry safety standards and equipping the next generation of engineers to lead safer, more sustainable construction projects. #SafetyFirstCulture

Proud to mark 10 years of sponsoring the Enactus Egypt General Orientation Training (GOT), a reflection of Orascom Construction’s long-standing commitment to youth development. In 2026, the program brought together 800 students from 71 universities, highlighting its expanding nationwide reach and growing impact. Through structured training in entrepreneurship, leadership, innovation, and digital skills, GOT equips young talents to compete at both national and global levels, including the Enactus World Cup. Since 2007, Orascom Construction has partnered with Enactus Egypt, driven by a shared belief that empowering youth is key to building future leaders. Our support goes beyond sponsorship - it is a long-term investment in Egypt’s next generation of changemakers. Together, we are empowering the next generation.

This #WorldCleanEnergyDay, we spotlight the largest operational wind farm in the region: the 650 MW Red Sea Wind Farm, developed in partnership with ENGIE, Eurus Energy Holdings, & Toyota Tsusho Corporation. Powering the homes of over one million Egyptians, it is one of our flagship concession projects and a cornerstone of our renewable energy portfolio, building on the 263 MW wind farm completed in 2019 and bringing our total operational wind capacity to 912.5 MW. On #WorldEducationDay, we reaffirm our commitment to education as a core value, delivering projects across the education sector and partnering with institutions locally and globally. In Egypt, we are constructing The American University in Cairo’s Campus 2026, an ambitious expansion of AUC’s existing campus. The project comprises five sustainable buildings, including next-generation student living and learning spaces, a Technology, Research and Innovation Lab, and the Extended Education Hub, further strengthening AUC’s position as a premier educational institution and OC’s role as a trusted builder. In the United States, through our subsidiary The Weitz Company, our track record includes more than 170 student housing projects, totaling over 8 million sq. ft. across 50+ colleges and universities. Beyond construction, our commitment to education is reflected in long-standing CSR initiatives. These include establishing schools, most recently the Onsi Sawiris Applied Technology and Construction School, supporting programs such as Enactus in nurturing student entrepreneurship, and expanding access to world-class education through programs such as the Onsi Sawiris Scholarship Program. 🇦🇪Project WAVE in Abu Dhabi – Achieving Significant Construction Milestones   Our teams continue to make strong progress on Project WAVE.    The project comprises a seawater nanofiltration plant (522,000 m³/day) supported by a 70 km pump station network and a 230 km distribution system.   Orascom Construction is both a developer and EPC contractor on the project.    Operational Milestone: ✅All deaerator vessels have been successfully delivered and directly installed (as seen in the video). Des Moines International Airport: Project Expansion The Weitz Company, our U.S. subsidiary, is advancing work at Des Moines International Airport (dsm) as part of the multi-phase terminal expansion. Weitz is part of the CMaR joint venture team leading construction of the new terminal, building on the completion of prior phases, including the expanded parking garage, sky bridge, and ongoing advancements within the existing terminal. The Weitz | Turner Construction Company’s scope has increased to include a new Phase 1B East expansion. This strategic growth will modernize the airport, support passenger growth, and expand the facility to approximately 360,000 square feet (33,445 m²), increasing boarding gates from 5 to 11. This project strengthens our global aviation portfolio, which includes 50 projects worldwide, showcasing expertise in terminal construction and other airport infrastructure.

Orascom Construction is proud to mark the opening of the Onsi Sawiris Applied Technology and Construction School In partnership with Sawiris Foundation for Social Development (SFSD) and the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, the school officially launches a vision brought to life by the late SFSD Co-Founder, Eng. Onsi Sawiris, patriarch of the Sawiris family and founder of Orascom Construction PLC. His lifelong experience in Egypt’s construction sector inspired a mission to build a highly skilled workforce, grounded in the belief that high-quality technical education is key to sustainable development and economic empowerment.
