Most clean hydrogen today relies heavily on electricity. And here’s the catch: if electricity is expensive or not fully green, the hydrogen won’t be either. At Hysun, we’re betting on a different path: ✨ Solar-powered photo-thermo-catalysis. A technology where sunlight — concentrated through mirrors — activates special materials (photocatalysts) to produce hydrogen without electricity. What makes it so disruptive? 🔹 It works at lower temperatures, avoiding the durability issues of classic solar thermal systems. 🔹 It doesn’t require ultrapure water or complex infrastructure. 🔹 It enables local, modular, off-grid hydrogen production. Simply put: It’s efficient. It’s clean. It’s viable. Photocatalysis is no longer just a scientific promise — it’s a real solution for industrial decarbonization. 🌞 At hysun, we’re making it happen with our M-M/CST technology (Metal-Molecule/Solar Concentration Technology). Are you ready to rethink clean hydrogen?

🌞💧 Taking 100% renewable hydrogen to the next level! That’s the vision behind S☼LAR-H₂R, and at hysun, we’re proud to contribute to making it a reality. Our project combines: 🔹 Photo-thermo catalysis to generate H₂ from water vapor and solar energy, without connection to the grid. 🔹 Advanced catalysts based on Metallic Molecules (M-M) supported on metal oxides (MOx). 🔹 An innovative particle solar photoreactor with point-focus solar concentration and gravity-driven rotational movement. 🎯 Why does this matter? Because S☼LAR-H₂R is about more than just technology. This project will be developed using an advanced reactor design that optimizes the catalyst’s exposure to solar radiation while operating at optimized temperatures (≤550 °C vs. >1200 °C in conventional processes) to enhance overall efficiency. Through this approach, emissions will be reduced, and a sustainable, decarbonized industry will be built, one that also supports skilled job creation in Spain. 🤝 Working alongside Tewer Engineering, NANOGAP, and with the collaboration of Universidade de Santiago de Compostela and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, this 36-month project is funded through the Incentives Program for the Innovative Renewable Hydrogen Value Chain –NextGenerationEU. This is how innovation meets impact. And we’re just getting started.

What if we’ve been ignoring one of the most powerful tools in the energy transition? When we talk about renewables, the spotlight usually goes to photovoltaics and wind. But there’s a technology with massive potential that remains underestimated: solar concentration. At @Hysun, we believe it’s time to change that. ➡️ Solar concentration harnesses the sun’s heat directly — no need for grid electricity. ➡️ It’s scalable, local, and doesn’t require arable land. Cambiar esta palabra no la entendemos ➡️ Most importantly: it’s the ideal foundation for photocatalysis. Yes, traditional solar thermal systems have faced challenges — especially with extreme temperatures and material degradation. But that’s where innovation comes in: we’ve developed a system that operates at lower temperatures, activating advanced photo-thermo-catalysts to produce hydrogen without electrolysis, water, or electricity. 💡Solar concentration + photo-thermo-catalysis = a game-changer for clean H₂ production. Let’s bring it back into the energy conversation!

🔎 In short: the new EU regulation with low C raises the bar — and Hysun is already above it. On July 11, the European Commission approved a new delegated regulation introducing a unified methodology for calculating Green House Gas (GHG) emissions from low-carbon hydrogen and related fuels. This long-awaited framework completes the EU’s regulatory puzzle for hydrogen, complementing existing rules on renewable hydrogen and RFNBOs. More importantly, it creates clarity and certainty for investment and deployment across the continent. 📌 The core of the regulation? To be labelled as “low-carbon”, hydrogen must deliver at least a 70% reduction in GHG emissions compared to fossil-based production. The methodology is designed to be technology-neutral and flexible, allowing for multiple production pathways — including those powered by low-carbon electricity, or involving CCUS. For the industry, this is a defining moment: ➤ It sets clear criteria for what qualifies as “clean” ➤ It encourages innovation toward higher efficiency and lower emissions ➤ It aligns market standards with climate goals At hysun, we see this regulation as a key driver of transformation — and as a powerful endorsement. Our solar-driven technology achieves over 20% direct solar efficiency and zero emissions — meaning we’re not only compliant, but well-positioned to thrive under this new regulatory environment with 100% reduction in GHG.

“It burns birds, pollutes, it’s invasive...” ❌ You’ve probably heard these claims about concentrated solar power (CSP) at some point... But they’re not true — or at least, not anymore. Solar thermal concentration has evolved significantly in recent years, and at hysun, we believe it's time to set the record straight: ➡️ MYTH 1: “It’s dangerous for birds” ✅ REALITY: Modern CSP technologies no longer reach harmful temperatures in flight zones or create “thermal traps” like in isolated cases from the past. Design and regulation have come a long way. ➡️ MYTH 2: “It pollutes the environment” ✅ REALITY: CSP generates zero emissions during operation. And unlike other technologies, it doesn't rely on rare metals or complex chemical processes. ➡️ MYTH 3: “It takes up too much space” ✅ REALITY: CSP plants can be installed on non-arable or semi-arid land, and their carbon footprint per tonne of hydrogen produced is among the lowest in the industry. At Hysun, we’ve reimagined this technology to make it cleaner, more efficient, and more environmentally friendly. Our M-M/CST (Metal-Molecule/Concentration solar Technology) solution proves that solar concentration is not only viable — it’s a technological marvel ready to lead the energy transition. Let’s move past the myths and bet on solar innovation with real impact ☑️

Clean hydrogen… but low cost. Is it possible? 👀 At hysun, we believe the energy transition must be not only sustainable — but also competitive. That’s why we’ve developed a solar photo-thermo-chemical technology capable of producing renewable hydrogen at a competitive prize with gray hydrogen (the one used today in industry). How do we do it? Thanks to our M-M/CST (Metal Molecule/Concentration Solar Technology) solution, which harnesses solar heat directly — with no need for external electricity. This allows us to: 🟢 Reduce dependence on volatile grid prices 🟢 Minimize operational costs 🟢 Scale production without scaling up expenses The result: clean hydrogen at less than $4/kg for small-scale production (45 t/year) and less than $3/kg at industrial scale (9,000 t/year). Because if hydrogen is to power decarbonization, it must also be economically viable. At Hysun, we’re working to make that no longer a promise — but a reality.
