The worst-kept secret in ecommerce is out in the open. OpenAI launched checkout, initially partnering with Shopify, Etsy and Stripe to enable direct purchases from ChatGPT. 🛍️ Shopify merchants will be able to sell directly through ChatGPT "very very soon". 🥣 US users will be able to buy from US Etsy sellers through ChatGPT as of yesterday. Etsy shares popped +16% on the announcement . 🌐 OpenAI also partnered with Stripe to build the Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP) to allow others to integrate. Dynamic Remarketing Works Only If You Match IDs 1:1 Show users the exact product they viewed, and you instantly increase conversions. But most advertisers set it up wrong. I’ve seen campaigns burn thousands simply because product IDs didn’t match. Here’s what usually goes wrong: ⨭ In Merchant Center, the feed was using variant IDs, but GTM was pushing the main product ID, so nothing matched. ⨭ A client had two different product formats in Merchant Center because they synced with both Google Shopping and a third-party app. Same product, two IDs. ⨭ I’ve also seen setups where GA4’s item_id was sent directly into the remarketing tag. Yes, Google tries to convert it into id, but manual mapping is way safer. ⨭ And on Shopify, the Google Shopping app pushes long IDs like shopify_NL_5566630295_48529314, while GTM was only sending the short product ID. Again, mismatch. Result? Ads looked fine, but no product-level remarketing actually worked. Here’s how I fixed it: ↳ First, I checked if Merchant Center was storing product IDs or variant IDs. ↳ Then, I aligned the GTM setup to send that exact same format. ↳ I used a Custom JavaScript Variable to normalize the array for the remarketing tag: https://lnkd.in/gWEdEY4d Adjust the key (item_id, variant_id, etc.) based on your site’s structure, and plug this array into your remarketing tag. For the past six months, with our Reddit SEO agency, we’ve analyzed dozens of B2B SaaS companies and their visibility inside LLMs. We looked at: → Their LLM presence score. → Which keywords they rank for. → The correlation (or lack of it) between Google ranking and LLM ranking. → The type of content that drives the most visibility. → Which domains LLMs cite most often. → Which pages consistently perform best inside LLM answers. And here’s what we discovered: - Reddit is one of the most cited sources. - Ultra-targeted pages rank extremely well for very specific prompts. - Even small sites with low domain authority can perform better than big brands. - Being on Google’s page 1 ≠ being ranked in LLMs. - Precision and closeness to the query matter more than anything. - Domain authority has far less influence than on Google. From all these insights, we completely reverse-engineered the process. OpenAI & Stripe announced yesterday the Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP) and that it is now live and open to everyone to build with. That means Agentic checkout that OpenAI just announced for ChatGPT can be built into your own websites, applications, and agents. Think AI-driven transactions that actually complete purchases without needing to click through pages or rely on traditional UX flows. This changes what’s possible for e-commerce teams building AI into their products. Here’s what just became possible: 1 - You can add a shopping agent to your own site trained on your inventory, pricing, and order APIs. 2 - The user can interact via text, voice, or image and the agent can handle the transaction end to end. 3 - You don’t need to rebuild your store, ACP works with your existing infrastructure and a payment processor that supports it (Stripe is already supported). 3 - Any agent, from an on-site assistant to a mobile app, can initiate checkout in a standardized way with you still owning the customer and fulfillment Here is a potential example: Large E-commerce Site With a Visual Concierge Let’s say you run a major e-commerce site in fashion, furniture, or auto parts.
