ejemplo: frutas, raíces, tubérculos,
cortezas, hojas, miel, etc. y

pierden pelo conforme envejecen, formando calvicies y produciendo canas.

roots, tubers, bark, leaves, honey,
etc. and complemented with

Central Description
Chimpanzees are social mammals and live in groups of
20 to 150 members, including several males, females,
young and offspring; however, most of the time they
move in small groups. They are arboreal and terrestrial
animals, spending the same amount of time on trees as
on the ground and adapt their nests in trees to sleep
during the night.
Males have a weight between 40 and 70 kg and a height
of 1.60 m approximately. In females, the weight ranges
between 32 to 50 kg and a height of 1.20 m.
They have long arms and short legs, so they can walk both on all
fours and upright; with their arms they can swing from branch to
branch; this ability is called brachiation.
They have black hair all over their body, except for the facial area
and the palms of their hands and feet.
As for food, their diet is mainly vegetarian, although they may eat some meat. They
have amazing hunting techniques to capture other primates such as the colobus.
Their main predators are leopards, crocodiles and snakes, but their biggest threat is
humans.
Females can give birth at any time of the year, usually
to a single baby that clings to its mother's fur and is carried
on her back until it is two years old. Females reach
reproductive age at 13 years, while males are not
considered adults until they are 16 years old.
These apes are very intelligent, because they have a great capacity for learning and can
perform basic tasks that support humans. They have the ability to imitate and learn from
their mistakes. Like humans, they lose hair as they age, forming bald patches and
producing gray hair.
Chimpanzees are endangered due to human expansion
leading to the destruction of their natural habitat. They
are also required for their meat and for scientific
experiments, especially in drug and makeup testing,
due to the compatibility of characteristics they have
with people.
