Novedades En Office Sharepoint 14
El documento resume las novedades de SharePoint 2010, incluyendo que solo será de 64 bits, requerirá IE7+, mejorará la búsqueda con faceted search y FAST, potenciará entornos alojados, mejorará la interfaz, soporte CMIS y Silverlight, y preparará una actualización más suave desde versiones anteriores. También menciona fuentes de información adicional y posibles problemas con el SP2 de SharePoint 2007.

El nombre cambia, para evitar las confusiones con los productos para cliente, de Office. En España, no se produce ésta confusión, ya que se han entendido perfectamente, los conceptos de familia de productos Office (cliente y servidor), plataforma SharePoint (servidor y servicios) y tecnología .NET Lo más probable es que volvamos al acrónimo SPS 2010, similar al ya utilizado para SPS 2003.

Parece ser tendencia, que los clientes sean de 32 y 64-bit, mientras que los servidores sean de 64-bit, así será necesario SQL Server 2005/2008 64-bit. Mientras que deja de soportar SQL Server 2000 y SQL Server 2005 de 32-bit. o Ya no soportará IE6, solo Internet Explorer 7+
- 12. Preparación para actualizar o oLo más significativo, es que el SP2, introduce una nueva operación del comando STSADM, preupgradecheck (Upgrade Checker) ideada para comprobar si la granja actual, puede ser actualizada a la versión 2010.

Lo que significa que SharePoint expirará como si se tratase de una instalación en pruebas de 180 días, después del despliegue del SP2. o El hotfix que lo soluciona será publicado en support.microsoft.com/
