Our demos have been turning heads, and eyesmart.com.au News spoke with our CEO, Niko Eiden, about what’s driving IXI’s recent turning points. “We wanted to solve this in a very elegant way,” Niko says. “By combining eye tracking with fully tunable liquid crystal lenses, we can provide real-time, gaze-based autofocus — and much higher certainty that we’re giving the right correction power.” The article also touches on IXI’s remarkable design approach. “The frames look and feel like standard eyewear, a deliberate design goal,” Niko explains. All technology sits in the front of the frame, not in the temples, giving the glasses better balance and a design that’s practically indistinguishable from normal eyewear. “Companies have tried for 15 years. We believe our timing and integration level are finally right.” 📰 Read the full piece: https://lnkd.in/e3Nr2FA3

Sight connects us to everything we do. It shapes how we move, create, and make sense of the world. Today, on World Sight Day, we celebrate the beauty of vision. At IXI, we spend our days studying vision to understand how it works and how it could feel even more natural. • Why are myopia rates rising around the world? • What happens inside the eye when the crystalline lens begins to lose flexibility? • What role does digital strain play in reshaping visual performance? Our latest blog dives into these questions and more, revealing five key concepts behind how vision works. 🔗 Read the full blog: https://lnkd.in/eTYW9xFN

A great story by Engadget on how IXI is getting closer to shipping a product that will revolutionize how people think about eyeware, especially bifocal glasses.
One step closer to market. Engadget just covered our journey toward bringing the world’s first autofocus glasses to life. “Forget smart glasses, autofocus lenses have the potential to help far more people by offering a high-tech alternative to clunky bifocal and varifocal eyewear.” The article dives into why adaptive lenses matter, how our eye-tracking and liquid crystal technology works inside thin, comfortable frames, and the steps we’ve taken to prepare for scale — acquiring Finnsusp Oy's lens manufacturing facility and entering a long-term partnership with Optiswiss. This really shows the difference between a mere technologist (Meta) and someone who actually empathizes and thinks about what people need (IXI). Don't ask yourselves what your technology can do for people, but rather ask people what they need (paraphrasing S. Jobs)

Meet Marko Ylinen, our VP of Supply Chain. Marko’s career started with a big decision: engineer, teacher, or business leader? He ended up combining Industrial Engineering and Business studies. The balance of technical depth with business pragmatism and curiosity has guided him ever since. From Nokia’s golden years in mobile, where he managed global supply chains and later led 2,000-person operations in Hungary, to scaleups like Varjo, Virta Ltd, and ŌURA, Marko is known to transform supply networks under intense pressure. “I've always loved problem-solving and different puzzles. Supply chain is really about thinking about the next steps ahead,” he says. “It’s about staying alert, anticipating risks, and mitigating them before they fall into your lap." But for Marko, it’s never only about processes and numbers – it’s about people. “I’ve always carried a teacher’s mindset,” he explains. “Not in the sense of lecturing, but in helping people bring out their best. In supply chains, you work with various experts within their field: technical employees, service providers, and suppliers across the world. Some may find the complexity and continuous changes exhausting, but I thrive on it. When everyone feels their expertise matters, that’s when impossible becomes possible.” At IXI, Marko’s mission is clear: to shape a supply chain that catapults breakthrough eyewear technology to the world. 🏔️

As technology reshapes every part of daily life, how do we ensure it pushes humanity forward in the right way? Our VP of Customer Experience, Mikko Ahlström, will be taking the stage at TechBBQ in Copenhagen to explore how consumer technology can truly be a force for good. The panel will dive into the benefits tech has brought to billions of people, and the new responsibility we have to design products that protect and enhance well-being, not erode it. We’re proud to see Mikko representing IXI’s vision for human-centered innovation in the next wave of consumer tech.
