Vaarnii’s latest project feature: El Gran Canal in Brussels, Belgium Above Brussels, El Gran Canal Penthouse by Altu unites two duplexes into a light-filled home defined by quiet sophistication. The reimagined interior celebrates openness and structure — vaulted ceilings, curving staircases, and warm wooden textures that echo the postmodern architecture while softening it through natural materiality. Just launched: the Black versions of the 001 Stool and 001 Dining Chair by Fredrik Paulsen. The new finish elevates the iconic silhouettes of the 001 designs while allowing the pine’s distinctive grain to remain pleasingly visible. Vaarnii’s Black furniture is made from the same material as the natural-finish objects we’re synonymous with — Scots Pine. Vaarnii returns to Copenhagen’s 3daysofdesign with new products, collaborations and a dramatic turn toward the dark. We’ll take up temporary residence in our own exhibition space in the city centre to unveil the latest additions to the Maasto range by Ronan Bouroullec—now including a table, stool and upholstered seating with textiles by esteemed Copenhagen resident Kvadrat. Also debuting: the Black range—our familiar pine forms, now finished in a rich black stain.
