  • Celebrating Fijian Artistry in the Skies   Fiji Airways continues to elevate its onboard experience with the introduction of the handcrafted Vau flower in Business Class a unique creation by artisan Wati Walawala from Ono-i-Lau.   Made from sun-dried hibiscus bark and assembled by hand, each flower reflects a deep connection to Fijian culture, craftsmanship, and care. Featured in the latest Meet the Makers video series, Wati’s work embodies the spirit of Uku uku a symbol of joy, celebration, and connection.   A proud showcase of local talent on a global stage.

  • Fiji Welcomes 99,737 Visitors in August, Surpassing 2023 and 2024 Levels Fiji recorded 99,737 visitor arrivals in August, representing 105% of August 2024 levels and 114.2% of August 2023. This growth was driven by strong performance from key markets, including the United States (+16%), New Zealand (+9%), Japan (+18%), the United Kingdom (+33%), and Europe (+16%). Australia also saw modest growth at +3%. Holiday travel accounted for 81% of arrivals, up 8% from August 2024. The largest age groups were 60+ years (21%), 30–39 years (19%), and 40–49 years (17%). Estimated tourism earnings for the month reached FJ$345 million. From January to August, Fiji has welcomed 642,810 visitors, tracking 0.4% ahead of the same period in 2024.

  • Tourism Fiji is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Paresh Pant as its new Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Pant brings over 25 years of experience in tourism, hospitality, and aviation across Fiji, Australia, and New Zealand. A former Regional Director for Tourism Fiji, he has a proven record in driving visitor growth, crisis recovery, and building strong global partnerships. He also holds a PhD in Tourism Strategy & Aviation Management from Griffith University, Australia, along with postgraduate qualifications in commerce and marketing. He officially takes up the role mid- October 2025, leading our mission to grow Fiji’s brand, drive sustainable visitor numbers, and ensure tourism continues to benefit our communities.
