How can we ensure a sustainable transition in the Global South when 10 countries from the Global North are responsible for half of all historical CO₂ emissions? On July 23rd, the International Court of Justice issued a historic advisory opinion, establishing that states have a legal obligation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to protect the climate system. In its statement, the Court emphasized that countries of the Global North bear particular responsibility for global emissions and therefore carry additional obligations. This landmark opinion paves the way for greater justice and equity in how the fight against climate change is addressed. Beyond merely acknowledging the responsibility of these nations for climate change and global inequalities, it’s crucial to go further: to finance and support the transition of the Global South, while recognizing the unique regional realities and challenges. This topic is explored in depth in a dedicated section of our Earth Action Report, produced in collaboration with KPMG France and enriched by the insights of dozens of contributors working on the frontlines of the climate and social transition, including Thomas W. Crowther, Gary White, Patricia Espinosa Cantellano. 📘 Dive deeper into the key learnings and perspectives. Download the report here! > https://lnkd.in/eVe9vgdE

Art won't change the world. But it changes people, and people change the world. This conviction is what drives our Art for Change program year after year. Through exhibitions, performances, talks, and encounters, the artists who take part in ChangeNOW create a unique space that gives room for emotion and sensitivity. The transition needs these moments of wonder and shared emotions to move us forward towards a fairer world. Together. Are you an artist interested in exhibiting or performing at ChangeNOW? Let’s talk! > https://lnkd.in/e7MqYzcj Thank you Kim Buisson, Côme Di Meglio, Ahmad Sarmast for your important voices 👏

In 2024, one in twelve people worldwide were still facing hunger, according to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization. And 28% of the global population were moderately or severely food insecure. These already alarming numbers are, unfortunately, expected to rise with climate change and ongoing geopolitical conflicts. On this World Food Day, we want to raise awareness of this critical issue. But mots of all, we want to highlight those who are working all year round to rethink our food systems and repair our broken relationship with the land. This year, the UN has chosen the theme “Hand in Hand for Better Food and a Better Future,” emphasizing the urgency of collaboration across sectors, borders, and generations. And collaboration is exactly what drives us at ChangeNOW: amplifying the impact of solutions and changemakers to accelerate the transition and create lasting change. 👉 Swipe to discover 4 inspirations — documentaries, entrepreneurs, and solutions — transforming our food systems to make them just, sustainable, and respectful of all living beings: Common Ground (Movie), Josh Tickell, Rebecca Tickell, Fermes d'Avenir, Acker, Christoph Schmitz, Koralo ▶️ To go further, watch our conference “The Power of Your Plate: Changing Food Habits” from ChangeNOW 2025 > https://lnkd.in/ewu9EUyE 💬 Do you know any changemakers or solutions driving progress in sustainable food and agriculture? Far beyond an individual concern, mental health is deeply interconnected with all our collective struggles for climate justice, social equity, peace, and a democracy that truly listens to everyone. While it’s encouraging to see the stigma around mental health slowly breaking down, we must keep the conversation going and remember its collective, intersectional, and systemic dimensions. Mental health is shaped by the direct consequences of climate change, by the oppressions linked to identity, and by the lack of accessible and inclusive support systems. It makes little sense to aim for better mental health without also fighting for a fairer, more caring, and resilient society that respects all living beings. Just as it is dangerous to carry these fights forward while neglecting our own mental health and that of our communities. Today is an opportunity to approach this topic collectively: to highlight the voices advocating for mental health for all, and to discover solutions improving access to care and wellbeing worldwide. 👉 Swipe to discover these inspiring changemakers, and don't hesitate to follow them! Ten years ago, the Paris Agreement marked a historic turning point in the fight against climate change. 🌎 Today, with the 1.5°C threshold already breached, the urgency to accelerate action has never been greater. The next five years will be critical to honor the commitments made a decade ago. At ChangeNOW, we believe in one simple truth: solutions exist. The real urgency is to act, now. That’s why, together with KPMG France, we publish the Earth Action Report each year: a comprehensive guide built with insights from recognized experts and impactful solutions, designed to help leaders move from commitment to action. This report highlights the top priorities for systemic change, the key challenges ahead, and concrete, actionable solutions to move the transition forward. 👉 Swipe through the carousel to discover 3 practical steps and actionable solutions to close the gap and reach the 2030 climate goals. 📘 For more insights and contributions from global leaders and innovators, download the 2025 Earth Action Report here! > https://lnkd.in/eVe9vgdE Thank you to our amazing contributors Mayada Adil, Patricia Espinosa Cantellano, Kate Williams and to all the experts who brought their invaluable insights to this report! 💫

Lobbying rewrites the rules of the system to protect profits, undermining democracy and slowing down climate action. Its influence shapes public policies, from environmental regulations to labor rights and corporate taxation. But how can we tip the balance so that climate and democracy also get a seat at the table? ⚖️ At ChangeNOW 2025, we had the privilege of welcoming speakers who fight every day to ensure progressive ideas break through into the halls of power, turning into public policies that put people over profit. Clover Hogan, Maren Costa, Célia Agostini, and Pascal Canfin shared their calls to action: giving power back to the many, demanding greater transparency in decision-making, and mobilizing businesses, nonprofits, and citizens to collectively shape policy. 👉 Swipe through the carousel to discover 5 key takeaways from this session! ▶️ And to watch the full conference, check out the link in the first comment!
