Investors buy into clarity, not complexity. Effective tools: maintain an updated dataroom, use two deck versions (written/oral), and build a network through EuroQuity. Smart mindset: approach fundraising as a lever for growth, not survival. Explore non-dilutive options and always negotiate the intangible like governance mentoring, access. She also highlighted subtle but powerful advice: 1. Value your negative results: they show learning and resilience. 2. Showcase your temporal moat: the time advantage you have over competitors. Quantify credibility. 3. Replace vague claims (“strong demand”) with tangible proof points: pilot programs, patents filed, recurring customers, letters of intent. Every number builds confidence. 4. Always anticipate the “invisible questions.” If you don’t address risks, investors will imagine worse ones. Be transparent about what’s uncertain... it signals maturity, not weakness. 5. Replace the “Thank you” slide with a Vision slide: end by opening, not closing.
