Qair secures €55 million financing for its #HydOcc renewable hydrogen ecosystem, advancing its green hydrogen strategy 💧⚡️ Qair is proud to announce the successful €55 million financing of its renewable hydrogen ecosystem in Occitanie, France, secured in partnership with Crédit Agricole du Languedoc - Crédit Agricole Transitions & Energies and Bpifrance. This landmark investment will support the pending construction of the Hyd’Occ renewable hydrogen production facility in Port-La Nouvelle, as well as five refuelling stations strategically located along major regional transport routes. Together, these assets will form a fully integrated system for the production, transport, and distribution of renewable hydrogen — accelerating the decarbonisation of mobility and the wider energy transition. 🔋 The first 20 MW phase of Hyd’Occ will produce 2,700 tonnes of renewable hydrogen per year, avoiding 27,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually. A second phase will double capacity to 40 MW. 🚚 Hyd’Occ will fuel a regional hydrogen network, starting with the Narbonne and Béziers stations currently under construction, as part of the “Corridor H2” — a zero-emission route connecting the Iberian Peninsula to Northern Europe and driving sustainable heavy transport across Europe. 🤝 Backed by offtake agreements with Plug Power and Hydromer, first hydrogen deliveries are expected by the end of this year. A cornerstone of Qair’s hydrogen vision ✅ As France’s largest renewable hydrogen production facility, Hyd’Occ marks a decisive step in Qair’s journey to make hydrogen an operational reality for local territories — and a major milestone in the Group’s ambition to become a leading independent producer of green hydrogen worldwide. 🌍 From Iceland to Brazil and France, Qair is developing large-scale hydrogen and e-fuel projects that combine industrial-scale production with robust distribution networks — demonstrating its ability to design, finance, and implement complete renewable hydrogen ecosystems. 🔗 Read the full press release here: https://lnkd.in/eFEDBprB #Hydrogen #GreenHydrogen #RenewableEnergy #EnergyTransition #Qair #HydOcc

🌊☀️ Qair kicks off construction of floating solar power plant in Seychelles We are pleased to announce the official groundbreaking of the Seysun Lagoon Floating PV plant – a pioneering 5.8 MW project located in the Providence Lagoon on Mahé Island, Seychelles. This innovative project was launched in the presence of key government leaders and partners, marking a major step forward in the country’s energy transition. Backed by a long-term Power Purchase Agreement with the Public Utilities Corporation (PUC), all electricity generated will directly support Seychelles’ renewable energy targets. By harnessing floating solar technology, Seysun Lagoon makes smart use of lagoon surfaces instead of limited land resources and reflects Qair’s multi-local approach—designing solutions tailored to each territory’s unique needs. Set to be commissioned in 2026, the project will play a crucial role in helping Seychelles reach 15% renewable energy in its national electricity mix by 2030 and stands as a benchmark for floating solar innovation across the Indian Ocean and Africa. 🌊Offshore Wind: Eolmed enters final phase as Qair leverages French expertise to guide its European strategy   Qair’s Eolmed floating wind pilot project—now in its final construction phase at Port-La Nouvelle, France—is preparing for commissioning at the end of this year. With maritime operations launched in late August, the project is entering its decisive stage.   🇪🇺 A European Showcase, Rooted in French Expertise   Eolmed is built on French industrial know-how, with 80% of construction entrusted to national companies. At the same time, it brings together Europe’s leading specialists for the fabrication of steel structures, transition pieces, and finishing works.   This alliance makes Eolmed not only a European demonstration project—made in France and enriched by continental expertise—but also a flagship project shaping Qair’s response to future offshore wind tenders worldwide.   🌍 Scaling Beyond France: Over 8 GW in the Pipeline   The experience gained from Eolmed is already informing Qair’s offshore wind strategy across Europe, where Qair is advancing floating wind projects:   - In Scotland, Qair is developing Ayre, a 1 GW floating wind farm awarded in the ScotWind leasing round, now progressing through planning.   - In the Iberian Peninsula, Qair is advancing over 2 GW of offshore wind projects in Spain and partnering with Etermar Energia in Portugal to support the country’s roadmap of 2 GW by 2030 and up to 10 GW thereafter. - As part of the Eolbleu consortium with Plenitude, Qair has been pre-qualified to bid for four major offshore wind projects in strategic French maritime regions.   🚀 Eolmed demonstrates France’s capacity for innovation in floating wind—opening pathways for future projects in Europe and worldwide, and accelerating the global energy transition.   #Qair #FloatingWind #OffshoreWind #EnergyTransition

⚓🇬🇷 Athens: Welcoming Energy Observer and scaling up Renewables in Greece   Yesterday, we had the honor of welcoming to Greece Energy Observer, a symbol of the energy transition at sea. Its mission — proving that solar, wind, hydrogen, and storage work best together — mirrors what Qair is deploying at country scale in Greece and beyond.   Since 2021, Qair is developing locally more than 500 MW of solar and storage projects progressing towards grid connection approval: ☀️ A 250 MW solar plant, ☀️🔋 A 130 MW PV installation combined with a 100 MW BESS, 🔋 A 50 MW standalone BESS.   Together, these initiatives demonstrate how complementary technologies are key to building a reliable, efficient, and sustainable energy system.   For Energy Observer, Athens marks the very first stopover of its Carbon Capture mission (2025–2026). More than a city of history, Athens — and the port of Piraeus, the leading container hub in the Mediterranean — stands today as a strategic crossroads for the decarbonization of maritime transport. With Greece managing nearly a quarter of the global merchant fleet, it is here that pioneering shipowners, shipyards, and innovation centers are reshaping the future of the industry.   For Qair, this stopover was also a special milestone: the first official stop within our renewed three-year partnership with Energy Observer. Together with our local team, led by Frank Valavanis, we were honored to welcome public authorities and energy transition partners on board.   Co-organised with Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking, this event was made possible thanks to the support of CCI France Grèce and Astir Marina, and we warmly thank Mrs Laurence AUER, the French Ambassador to Greece, Mr. Stefanos Gkikas, Deputy Minister of Maritime Affairs & Insular Policy, Mr. Dimitris Kollias, Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy, and Mr. Prokopiou, owner of the Astir Marina, for their presence and commitment to advancing the energy transition.    🚀 From Athens, we advance with a clear vision — supporting innovation at sea and on land, accelerating the path to a carbon-neutral future.    #Qair #EnergyObserver #TheFutureIsRenewable 📸Kostas Mpekas Photography
