Géraldine BOICHÉ remercie Barbara Belvisi pour la confiance accordé à The New Siècle. https://lnkd.in/e3xEgjDb

At #ClimateWeekNYC, our CEO Barbara BELVISI joined Ana Kljuic, PhD, Adam R. Jones from L'Oréal, and Tony Martens from Plantible for a panel at The Nest Climate Campus to discuss scaling the production of sustainable, bio-based ingredients. Ana Kljuic highlighted: “Centella Asiatica is in our La Roche Posay Balm B5 product. (...) We’re working with our partner Interstellar Lab to see how we can use Biopods to grow Centella asiatica in a new way.” Adam R. Jones added: “ Biopod grows in a controlled, cultivated way and saves 99% water usage. (...) We rely on our partner to bring us that technology and we rely on ourselves to scale it up and move it along.” Barbara BELVISI emphasized : “L'Oréal’s goal is to have 75% of the ingredients be bio-based. We started working on specific extracts from plants that are used in products people use every day, like perfume and cream. We moved from proof of concept to pilot production. Now what we're looking at the next phase : scaling" “Interstellar Lab’s Pods are helping us really reinvent what a green or sustainable ingredient of tomorrow will be" concluded Ana. We are proud to partner with L'Oréal to shape together the sustainable beauty of tomorrow!

Last week at the 35th IFSCC Congress in Cannes, Interstellar Lab joined the round table “Shooting for the Stars: Space research as a catalyst for cosmetic discovery,” moderated by Dr. Isabelle Castiel-Higounenc, Research Project Director at L'Oréal R&I. Our Chief Product Officer Jim Rhoné shared how BioPods on Earth and BioCapsules in orbit open new pathways for cosmetic science through sustainability, resource efficiency, and seed-to-ingredient traceability. In microgravity, plants reveal unique properties - transforming essential oils, enhancing active compounds, and unlocking new molecules for next-generation ingredients. This vision advances in 2026 with the launch of our EDEN BioCapsule aboard Vast’s Haven-1 station, starting with Mission Little Prince and a rose experiment in orbit to pioneer plant science for cosmetic innovation. #IFSCC2025 #cosmeticscience #space #innovation #sustainability Audrey Berthier (MEDES - Institute for Space Medicine and Physiology), Paul Kamoun, PhD, HDR (SpacePharma), Monica Monici (Università degli Studi di Firenze), Dr. Sebastien Vincent (European Space Agency - ESA), and Leonardo Surdo (ICE Cubes Service)
