🌍 wind fisher takes off in Montenegro Last week, wind fisher was invited to the "Smart Growth, Green Future – Accelerating Investments in Montenegro" summit in Luštica, Montenegro. Held by Prime Minister Milojko Mickey Spajic and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, the event brought together leaders, innovators, and decision-makers to accelerate growth and green transition in the region. 🤝 We are proud to announce that wind fisher signed a MoU for projects development with Elektroprivreda Crne Gore AD Nikšić, Montenegro’s national energy company. As highlighted by President von der Leyen, wind fisher is officially part of the “14 outstanding projects that have been launched [...] including high-altitude wind power”. We have already identified a high-potential pilot site to deploy our first airborne wind system  in 2026. This project aims to produce clean energy for the largest vineyard in the Balkans. As part of its entry into the EU, Montenegro positions itself as a development hub for renewable energy technologies in the Adriatic region. With strong government support and joint efforts with the EU, the country will pioneer next-gen solutions, including Airborne Wind energy . This is a powerful signal for wind fisher, and there is no doubt that we will deploy high-altitude wind farms in the region in the next few years. Huge thanks to the Government of Montenegro and the European Commission for this inspiring summit. 🚀 First autonomous flight completed! Five years ago, wind fisher set out to revolutionize Airborne Wind Energy. How? By building the only solution with autonomous takeoff and landing. Last week, we validated this key feature through our first successful autonomous flight. Our MAG15 prototype achieved the following milestone:   ✅Autonomous takeoff ✅Sustained stationary flight for 15 minutes ✅Autonomous landing This is a major success on our path towards delivering a first commercial product in the coming months. ✅ Dry run: check! Watch us as we take our MAG15 prototype on a dry run on the Transpolis site – a crucial step moving towards successful test flights. We coupled our system with our truck and exposed it to the real world environment. Thanks to this dry run, we validated the behavior of our system before, during and after transport. This is essential to start flying with no risk of compromising our prototype safety. 📢 Next stop: test flights! Our wing is now assembled with its ground station — built with our partner PAILLARDET. This ground station is designed to safely and precisely pilot the wing,  starting now with the test flights at Transpolis. Eight winches, each equipped with its own 2 kW generator, ensure control and power generation. The flight path is calculated in real-time by an onboard computer, while 20 kWh LFP batteries enable autonomous operations.⚡ Additional sensors — force sensors, tether angle measurement tools, and a weather station — have also been integrated to collect extensive flight data. 🚀 Breaking news: (almost) ready for takeoff! Our 15-meter-long prototype wing is complete and prepared for the next phase.  For the past 6 months, we've collaborated closely with the amazing team at A-NSE to build this innovative wing, carefully designed to mirror the features of our final product. The 100μm-thick envelope is made of an assembly of special material webs (PE - Polyamide - PU multilayer). It will be filled with 38 m³ of helium to make it lighter-than-air. This unique feature is a key differentiator of our groundbreaking climate tech solution: the Magnus Airborne Generator, aka the MAG.  👉 Curious about our technology?
