The best design feels invisible until it’s helpful. We love Jon Moore’s classic list of product design lessons. Great UI design doesn’t need to be flashy. It should be clear, easy to use, and helpful (super relevant with all the AI tools coming to the market). His ten lessons offer a simple checklist to help designers build thoughtful interfaces that guide people without getting in the way. Check out his article:https://lnkd.in/edAHcfT Here’s Jon’s top ten lessons: 1. Prioritize your design efforts Fix the basics before spending time on polish or extras 2. No one cares about animation Fancy animations aren’t what make products successful 3. Don’t reinvent the wheel Use common design patterns users already know 4. Templatize your work Create and reuse templates to speed up your work 5. Consistency begets efficiency Being consistent helps you move faster 6. Efficiency begets consistency Working faster helps you stay consistent 7. Business & user value usurps EVERYTHING If it helps users and the business, it’s valuable, even if it’s ugly 8. I am not the center of the world Other people in the process matter, design with them in mind 9. Great designs will fail with bad presentation A great design with a bad pitch won’t get approved 10. Get. It. Built. Your design doesn’t matter unless it gets built 💬 We asked Jon why he wrote the post: "I wrote this as a reflection on my design career and my experiences working with product, engineering, and leadership. My hope is that it offers designers a few practical tips to make their work a little easier, more robust, and ultimately more rewarding." Fantastic and super helpful! Helio helps product designers by showing how users respond to design. With UX metrics like comprehension, usability, and desirability, you can see what’s working and what needs fixing while building. #uxresearch #productdiscovery #marketresearch #productdesign

🚨 State of the Design Job Market in 2025. 1️⃣ Open design roles are climbing again — up 16% from last year’s low (now ~5,053), though still well below the 2022 boom. 2️⃣ Layoffs are easing — down from 430k tech layoffs in 2023 to a projected 183k in 2025. 3️⃣ Remote work has stabilized — 21% of design jobs are remote; ~20% looks like the new baseline. 4️⃣ The Bay Area is still the design capital — 16.6% of all open roles are in SF, with other hotspots in NYC, Seattle, Bengaluru, and Tel Aviv. 5️⃣ Public tech companies dominate — nearly double the openings compared to unicorns and early-stage startups; Amazon leads with 3X more roles than Apple. 6️⃣ AI is fueling demand for interface design — AI-native companies now have more design openings than marketplaces and hardware. 7️⃣ Senior designers are still in the driver’s seat — most roles require senior-level experience, but 1 in 3 target entry/mid-level. 8️⃣ Hardware–software hybrid roles are trending — especially as more devices become AI-driven interfaces. There’s a lot to be optimistic about — hiring is healthier, AI is creating new opportunities, and design remains essential to tech’s future.

🚨 Before You Design That Interface... Ask Yourself These 5 Critical Questions! Your design isn’t just about looking good — it should work beautifully too This redesign is a perfect example of how design decisions drive better user experience 👇 Does the layout guide the user — or confuse them? Are your CTAs bold enough to convert? Is the visual flow helping or hurting the journey? Are you using space wisely — or wasting attention? Does it feel intuitive — or like a puzzle? 🧠 What We Learned From This Design (Takeaways): ✅ Improved hierarchy makes content easier to digest. ✅ Smart color contrast leads to better visual focus. ✅ Clean alignment and spacing gives a polished, professional look. ✅ Reducing noise = increasing clarity. ✅ Good UX isn't accidental — it’s intentional design. 👉 Follow me Learn Designing for more smart redesigns, real examples, and actionable UI/UX tips! #LearnDesigning #UIUXDesign #DesignThinking #InterfaceDesign #BeforeAfterDesign #DesignMatters #UXInspiration #WebDesignTips #MinimalDesign #UXPrinciples

Our latest UX research uncovered a surprising truth: 58% of desktop sites and 78% of mobile sites deliver mediocre or worse product list UX. That means most users are left frustrated when browsing product lists, which leads to low engagement and, ultimately, lost sales. But here’s the good news: fixing it isn’t impossible. Because as part of our latest Product List UX benchmark, we’ve identified 8 best practices that consistently separate high-performing product lists from the rest, such as: ✅ Combine product variations into one list item Avoid clutter and help users quickly understand the actual range of products. ✅ Provide 3+ product thumbnails in product lists Give users the visual information they need up front. Two images aren’t enough; multiple thumbnails reduce the need to click through every item. ✅ Show both total price and unit price Especially when quantities vary, displaying price-per-unit empowers users to make fast, confident comparisons. If you want your product lists to drive conversions instead of drop-offs, now’s the time to implement these best practices. Check out the latest UX benchmark here: https://lnkd.in/eBCWZAyg #userexperience #ux #ecommerce #userresearch

He found teachers in unusual places and hired the same way. The lesson: Hiring hybrids isn't optional anymore. Will your team embrace overlap or get left behind?
