In the second quarter, we led the heavy-duty zero-emission segment in Europe with our #eActros600! 🚛🔋 From Germany to Norway and to Italy, from France to Romania – during the last months, we have delivered our flagship e-truck to customers in more than 15 European countries. 🌍 Let’s get behind the steering wheel – and listen to some of their feedback: 🔹Logistics provider Simon Loos uses our eActros 600 for Lidl’s retail distribution in the Netherlands. What especially stands out for the customer is the truck’s impressive reliability after months of intensive testing under various conditions. 🔹German transport company W&P is significantly investing in e-mobility by adding 20 eActros 600 to its fleet and opening a charging park with 56 charging points. According to their feedback, they are impressed not only by the truck's range and efficiency but also by the comprehensive electromobility solutions we offer. 🔹Lidl Italia, in collaboration with Daimler Truck Italia and LC3 Trasporti, is the first company in Italy to put our eActros 600 on the road, creating one of Europe’s first fully electric long-haul fleets. Both partners tell us they are convinced of our truck because it makes their logistics more sustainable. 🔹Logistics service provider Wessels Logistics from Germany operates two eActros 600 around the clock, covering up to 760 kilometers in two shifts. A key reason for their purchase is the new battery technology: lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries that enable high cycle stability and good charging performance. 🔹August Gschwander Transport GmbH, based in the south-west of Germany, utilizes the eActros 600 for challenging transport tasks across different countries and through mountainous regions. One reason for their purchase is the truck's support for the company’s goal of achieving 100% climate-neutral transportation. 🔹Belgian company VANDIJCK TRANSPORT added two eActros 600 to its fleet, testing them on a long-haul route of over 1,500 kilometers, with a gross weight of 33.2 tons and under real-life conditions, including intermediate charging, mountain routes, descents, and city traffic. What convinced them most were the truck’s range and driving comfort. Staying close to our customers and listening to their feedback is crucial for us. 😬 More than 500k cars 🚗 from Chinese-Owned OEMs in the first half of 2025 in Europe! Registrations are up >30% YoY 📈! 👉 Let me know if you need chart as a PDF or high resolution version, just leave a comment! 👉 As always, just my personal perspective - add yours below! ➡️ The invasion of Chinese-owned 🇨🇳 car brands in Europe is seen as severe threat by global automotive giants and industry leaders 🚗. ➡️ Chinese OEMs like BYD, CHERY, XPENG, GEELY or NIO have to export their products as the domestic demand for the created production overcapacity is not strong enough. ➡️ ASEAN and Latin American markets have been selected as priority, next to Europe. I recommend to have an eye on Thailand 🇹🇭, Indonesia 🇮🇩, Mexico 🇲🇽 or Brazil 🇧🇷. ➡️ Imports in these countries are crazy high 😱, local production facilities are set up. Toyota Motor Corporation, Stellantis, General Motors and other OEMs with business and ambitions in the regions feel the heat 🔥. Here are the details of Chinese OEMs in Europe: ➡️ The growth story of the year 🌟: CHERY managed to grow from zero to >36k registered vehicles 🚗 within a year, focusing on affordable 🤑 ICEs in selected markets. Best example for it’s not all about BEVs and the largest markets. ➡️ Min 2️⃣x on country level: The customers in Spain 🇪🇸 and Poland seem to be very responsive to the portfolio of Chinese OEMs. Registrations soared by more than 100% in both countries. ➡️ Accelerated growth 🚀: The obvious suspects, BYD EUROPE, XPENG or Zeekr Europe quadruple the volume. BYD is leading by far distance, it’s on a good trajectory to surpass market leader MG. ➡️ MG Motor Europe is just growing by 20% YoY, a new lineup of vehicles could accelerate growth again 🤷‍♂️. ➡️GEELY brands like Polestar, Lynk & Co or Zeekr Europe are back on a growth track but the additional volume is not enough to offset the decline of Volvo Cars in Europe 😬. Order of counties is shifting: ➡️ UK 🇬🇧 continues to lead on volume and is still growing strong with a 50% YoY increase. No surprise, as MG Motor Europe might be seen as domestic UK 🇬🇧 brand. ➡️ Sweden 🇸🇪 leads on market share. Similar narrative as with MG in UK could be applied to GEELY brands and the heritage of the brands in Sweden. ➡️ Spain and Italy overtook Germany in volume and market share. Poland is becoming a major market for Chinese brands as well, volume is already on the level of France. #EV Technology ⚡️ is a strong trend in the #Aviation ✈️ and I have recently reviewed many projects for Hybrid Planes supported by strong investement 💶 and innovation competitiveness in Europe 🇪🇺 Here is a 4 x 3-phases #Electric Motor 🦑⚡️ coupled with a #Hydrogen Fuel Cell but this #eMotor - of course - could also be associated with a Lithium #Battery 🪫 Peak Power = 660 kW Continuous Power = 600 kW

Summer break is over! Back in Brussels and working on a better framework for renewable fuels like #eFuels. Yesterday, we met Matthieu Moulonguet, member of the cabinet of climate Commissioner Wopke Hoekstra, together with Alana Tetdoeva of Hexagon Agility, Antje Fiehn of Bosch, Alain Mathuren of FuelsEurope and Mats Hultman of Neste. We discussed methodologies to monitor the use of CO2 neutral fuels in vehicles (more information here: https://wgmm.eu/). Today, Ralf Diemer and I met Daniel Caspary MdEP, head of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the European Parliament. We gave input on an upcoming energy omnibus, in which we should change the production rules for green #hydrogen and eFuels, as well as how to prevent the ban of the internal combustion engine by integrating renewable fuels in the CO2 emission standards, which will save jobs and help reaching climate targets. Charging is about to get both faster and smarter - on the road and at home.    From 2026, we will equip the Mercedes-Benz Charging Network in Europe and North America with Alpitronic’s HYC1000 ultra-fast chargers. These modular systems enable a total charging capacity of 1,000 kW at up to 800 amps, intelligently distributed across multiple charging points through smart load management. Individual charging points can provide up to 600 kW at 800 volts. For our drivers, this means extremely short charging times, for example, recharging the Mercedes-Benz CLA to add up to 325 kilometers of range in just 10 minutes.*  Together with Alpitronic, we’re also developing a next-generation fast charger, inspired by our CONCEPT AMG GT XX, aiming for seamless charging experiences that set new industry standards. The findings from the latest charging milestone of more than one megawatt charging power achieved with the CONCEPT AMG GT XX are being incorporated directly into this development. This record was made possible via a single CCS cable supporting up to 1,000 amps.    But our progress doesn’t end at the charging station. Also starting in 2026, our new generation of electric vehicles - beginning with the all-new electric GLC - will support bidirectional charging for home use. They will not only be able to take in electricity but also feed it into a home network or the public grid in a targeted manner.   With MB.CHARGE Home, Mercedes-Benz is launching a digital charging ecosystem that actively involves customers in the energy market.
