from conversations on discord it seems this has been a problem in the past couple releases

and now i'm even more confused, i tried pulling the 5.0.2 (Flynn Charlie) source and the audio seems to be cutting off for me there, i even tried 5.0.0 and it seems to still be an issue there for me. unfortunately my testing has raised more questions than it answered
