Hello,

My lab and I thoroughly enjoyed your blog on the Five Stages of Vim. We realized you're missing the critical stage 6: The Evangelist. "No one can be saved without Vim." :-D

As background, I am the evangelist and my trainees have to listen to my sermons on how Vim will save them from mouse and arrow-key purgatory.

I have even been teaching a full lecture on Vim to undergraduate and graduate students for years.

Thanks for reaching out. So glad to hear your lab liked the post 🙂
I'd say I'm definitely in Stage 6 now, for sure. However, I've yet to evangelise anyone past Stage 2...
I've just updated the post with the new bonus stage.
