RxJava 3.0.0-RC0 is out now, and it turns out that it is entirely backwards-compatible with RxJava 2.2 for our purposes. However, there are several tests that use outdated/deprecated methods which we should revise as a preparation for upgrading our build to RxJava 3.0 eventually.
