Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department

Kai Tak Airport was overcrowded and aging. In order to accommodate more flights, I created a mission critical AI application to allocate and manage all the check-in counters at the Kai Tak Airport. The system allowed the airport to maximize the use of its resources prior to the operation of the new airport. Because of the system, Kai Tak Airport was able to handle an additional 9,000 flights in 1996 and over 6,000 more in 1997.

-On 17 July 2012, the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer and the Economic and Information Commission of Guangdong Province (GDEI) established the Hong Kong/Guangdong Expert Committee on Cloud Computing Services and Standards. The Committee was set up under the Hong Kong/Guangdong Expert Group on Co-operation in Informatisation. It aims to strengthen co-operation of the two places in promoting the development of cloud computing and formulation of relevant standards and practices.
