“It is my privilege to write a letter of recommendation for a student intern, Mate Knezovic. As a Finance Department lecturer at Zagreb School of Economics and Management I had the pleasure of teaching in several classes (Corporate Finance 1, Corporate Finance 2) as well as to guide Mate as his undergraduate thesis mentor and got to know him quite well. I found him to be intelligent and very pleasant as well as an enthusiastic individual. Mate handled himself as a professional from the very first day he was in my classroom. He was always prompt on completing tasks and course assignments. With respect to each situation, Mate was a true pleasure to work with as a mentor. Also, I have to mention that his initiative on completing his undergraduate thesis was a great experience for me as a lecturer. He exactly knew what he wanted to find out, and handed out an extraordinary piece of paper in form of final thesis on “The role of offshore companies in terms of globalization”. Through this primary research he showed that his excellent analytical skills and adaptation in terms of global environment. Mate is bright, energetic, compassionate and genuinely well rounded. His grades have been consistently high above average in all of his courses, and he has actively participated in a diverse assortment of extracurricular activities (Student mentorship, Student Future Day, etc.). Through past several years, as his lecturer I have watched this young man develop both academically and personally into a mature individual ready in every way for his business development years. Unlike many students who are not sure which field to pursue, Mate has made clear to us all that his goal is to develop as an individual and as an professional in international area of business and to combine as much as possible international experiences in his knowledge. It is clear to me as I hope it is to you, that this young man, Mate, is an exceptional candidate, one that would contribute greatly to any program and company that he enrolls in. I wholeheartedly recommend him and wish him the very best in all future endeavors.”

💡 What is smart, simple, investor-friendly, and in the top 10? 👉 That is today’s Hungarian taxation system! 🎉 According to the Tax Foundation, the world's leading independent tax policy think tank, Hungary belongs to the crème de la crème. 📢 The latest International Tax Competitiveness Index by the Washington-based nonprofit organization ranks Hungary among the top 10 OECD countries. 📈 In the new ranking, Hungary secured the 7th place, moving up from 11th place last year. Some highlights from the report: ✔️ Lowest corporate income tax rate in the OECD: 9%, compared to the OECD average of 23.9%. ✔️ 4th place in corporate taxation, only the Baltic countries rank higher. ✔️ 5th place in personal taxation, up from 6th in 2023. ✔️ Lowest economic cost of labor taxation: thanks to Hungary’s flat income tax system (15% for everyone), the marginal and average tax wedge are the same, making the system both fair and efficient. ✔️ Hungary operates a territorial tax system that fully exempts dividends and capital gains, does not have withholding taxes, and has better-than-average rules for Controlled Foreign Corporations (CFC). 📌 This well-deserved recognition further strengthens Hungary’s position on the global investor landscape, and at #HIPA, we are ready to guide your next project, from ground to glory! 👇 See first comment for more details
