PayPal added crypto to P2P. What does that actually mean? On one hand, it’s a big milestone: PayPal users can now send BTC, ETH, and PYUSD to friends and contacts - just as easily as sending dollars. The team calls it the “next big step” and promises the experience will be “as simple as sending a message.” Sounds like progress. But there’s more to it. PayPal is still a classic Web2 fintech product. It’s not a wallet in the Web3 sense. You don’t hold your own assets. You don’t manage private keys. You’re essentially just moving numbers within a centralized system - where the control stays with the intermediary. And that small distinction says a lot about where crypto is heading. Watching this unfold, I have mixed feelings: • On the one hand - it’s great to see big players adopting crypto. It gives mainstream users a familiar way in. • On the other - it’s “crypto with limitations.” No privacy. No true self-custody. No open networks. Meanwhile, the Web3 space keeps building in a different direction. Your token will likely end up as Token B. That's the harsh truth. 80% of all token launches are a complete failure from day one, and once that happens, most projects never recover. Why? —> Months or years of community building vanish as trust collapses. —> No MM treasury → no long-term token health. —> Launchpad raises refunded → no capital to build. —> Bad chart = no OTC funding. —> Public sentiment flips bearish → user adoption grinds to a halt. A launch's success often comes down to the first few candles, determined by demand vs. sell pressure. Projects that raise more capital should have more demand due to larger budgets, but it usually comes with a higher FDV and/or larger initial market cap, which increases initial sell pressure. In most cases, these forces can partially cancel each other out. So, assuming both Token A and Token B have an identical product and budget, why do their launches diverge so drastically? Efficient Capital Usage & In-Depth TGE Planning The projects that launch successfully are the ones that build detailed TGE plans and use their capital wisely. Too often, when I ask founders about their strategy, the answer is: “We’ll list on X exchange and pay Y agency to generate demand.” That’s not a plan! It’s vague, outsourced, and ignores the key elements needed to build hype and a strong launch. A real plan includes: —> A comprehensive, in-house TGE GTM covering all aspects (KOLs, PR, content, airdrops, partnerships, events, etc.) with clear schedules —> Leveraging quality advisors & agencies on certain aspects of the GTM —> Clear alignment with MMs and liquidity needs —> Onboarding the right exchanges under favourable conditions —> Optimizing the tokenomics & heavily controlling/minimizing free token allocations —> Launching at the right time, aligned with project growth and market conditions A TGE isn’t just a listing event, it’s the foundation of your project’s future. Plan every detail. Use capital wisely. Efficiency is everything.

Tokenized assets grew from just $85 million in 2020 to over $21 billion by April 2025, a whopping 245× increase. And this is still only the beginning. It is projected that tokenized markets could reach $2 trillion by 2030 according to McKinsey & Company. What’s fueling this surge? ➡️ Institutional capital seeking on-chain exposure to real-world assets ➡️Rising demand for direct ownership, transparency, and efficient settlement ➡️Progress in regulatory clarity and infrastructure maturity But here’s the key: simply putting assets on-chain isn’t enough. The real unlock will come when these tokenized assets can be deployed, composed, and leveraged into broader strategies, enabling yield, risk management, and composability. From my perspective, the most exciting phase of tokenization is still ahead. The infrastructure is catching up and with it, entirely new possibilities for how assets are used and experienced.
