✈️🇷🇴 50 MILLION passengers and counting As of September 30th, we have officially flown over 50 million passengers to and from Bucharest. In 18 years, we’ve grown alongside Romania’s capital and today, Bucharest is home to our largest base, with the most WIZZ aircraft. To mark the occasion, we surprised our 50 millionth passenger with a €200 WIZZ voucher on the tarmac. This milestone follows our largest network expansion yet from Romania with 13 new routes from Bucharest launching this winter. Plus, we’re adding a second aircraft to our Băneasa Airport base this autumn, unlocking even more flights to destinations in Italy, Germany, Belgium, France, and Greece. Wizz Air continues to offer Romanian travelers affordable, high-quality travel, while supporting the local economy, tourism, and aviation job market. As Anastasia Novak, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air, put it: “Reaching 50 million passengers in Bucharest is a significant milestone that reflects both Wizz Air’s growth and the trust shown by travellers over the years.
