The IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP) in Anchorage is coming up fast! On September 16, at 10 AM, Tamás Matuszka, aiMotive's Lead AI Research Scientist, will give an Industry Expert Talk titled “Bridging the Synthetic-to-Real Gap: Neural Rendering for Scalable Autonomous Vehicle Simulation.” Tamás will share how aiMotive integrates neural reconstruction and rendering into aiSim, our ISO 26262-certified simulator, to advance realism, scalability, and safety in autonomous vehicle simulation. He’ll discuss: ▸ Achieving high-fidelity, multi-sensor realism in safety-critical scenarios ▸ Balancing rendering quality with real-time performance for HiL and closed-loop validation ▸ Combining NeRF, Gaussian Splatting, and hybrid rendering techniques to minimize the synthetic-to-real gap Tamás will also join the ISPAV 2025 Workshop on September 18, focusing on innovative image and signal processing approaches for autonomous vehicles.
