Lights, Camera, Wizz! Last week, we recorded five episodes of our brand-new short interview series, a fresh addition to our employer brand campaign. Our goal? To shine a spotlight on the colleagues who keep things moving behind the scenes, through authentic, informal conversations centered around our five core values.   Each episode features team members sharing their journeys, experiences, and how our values have shaped their careers at Wizz Air. Together with our agency partner, Brandfizz, we spent a full day filming — filled with teamwork, passion, and plenty of fun moments.   We can’t wait to share the results with you soon!

🏃♂️ Completing a half marathon is an incredible experience, it shows dedication, perseverance, and determination. But just like running 21 km, organizing a half marathon also requires the same qualities. It takes months of preparation, planning, and tireless work to create an unforgettable experience for the participants. This year we saw a record number of registrations, an amazing atmosphere, and countless smiling faces at the finish line, all the result of the hard work behind the scenes. 👏 A huge congratulations to our Marketing and Communications team and to everyone else who contributed and spent their Sunday on-site. And of course, a big thank you to BSI for their collaboration! An achievement to be proud of — both on the track and behind the scenes!

🎓 A new milestone in our partnership with Budapest University of Economics and Business!   For the very first time, Wizz Air has joined BUEB ’s mentorship program, opening new doors for the next generation.   Two of our colleagues, Nora Peter and Evgenia Ivanova, will be mentoring two BUEB students throughout the semester, giving them a behind-the-scenes look at Wizz Air’s operations and the world of the People Function. The students will have the chance to ask questions, seek career advice, and experience first-hand what life is like inside an airline.   The program kicked off last week with an opening event, where mentors and mentees could meet, connect, and dive into interactive activities together.   We’re excited for the upcoming sessions and proud to support the students’ growth on this journey! 🚀

Because every journey begins in the office This September, seven new candidates started their six-month Navigator Training Program, including: 📘 Three months of theory ✈️ Three months of practice alongside a Navigator Manager   For almost ten years, we’ve been training Navigators, and starting from March, the entire program will be delivered fully in-house by our Wizz Air experts. Numerous experienced Navigators contribute to the training to ensure candidates gain first-hand, practical insights. During the theoretical phase, candidates face a demanding schedule: tests every week to track their progress. It’s a rigorous program, but their dedication knows no limits.   The training covers three main areas: 1️⃣Aviation Regulations & Security – civil air law, aviation indoctrination, aviation security 2️⃣Flight Operations – navigation, flight planning & monitoring, air traffic management, radio communications 3️⃣Safety & Performance – aircraft performance, human factors, meteorology, mass & balance control, dangerous goods   If you're interested in the journey of the Navigators, don’t forget to follow us more updates are coming soon.   We also thank our trainers for providing the theoretical foundation for the next generation: Balint Balaton Péter Bánlaki András Bihal Botond Cserményi László Czuczor Bernadett E. 🎓 Future talent, first impressions – BGE Freshman Camp 🎓   This year marked our first appearance at the BGE Freshman Camp, a key moment in how future professionals first connect with Wizz Air as a workplace.   Our Employer Branding team was on site to introduce students to the company, share insights into career opportunities, and answer questions about what it’s like to grow within Wizz. The atmosphere was open, engaging, and energizing and we’re glad to see how naturally students connected with our values and culture.   For many, this was the first step in a journey that could lead to internships, development programs, and long-term careers.
