The final workshop in a four-part series on the impactful use of #AI for business leaders in Ireland was a fitting conclusion to a journey that has been focused on showcasing how AI can enhance strategy, innovation, and performance. 🚀 In this closing session, Susan Kelly [Director of Digital Technology Skills] showcased the AI Skills Academy - a fantastic initiative developed through the ARISA - AI Skills project. With a focus on strengthening AI skills, competencies, and leadership understanding, the workshop provided the perfect opportunity to align these themes with the practical and forward-thinking resources offered by the AI Skills Academy. As the series concluded, one key takeaway resonated throughout the room: empowering leaders with the right AI knowledge, confidence, and strategic insight is essential to driving meaningful digital transformation. 🍀🤖 𝗜𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗜 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 We’re proud to announce that Digital Technology Skills is part of the new AI Factory Antenna in Ireland (AIF IRL-Antenna), a major EU-backed initiative designed to strengthen Europe’s AI capabilities and ensure access to world-class computing power, expertise, and training. The AI Factory Antennas are part of the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU), connecting national centres across Europe to make #AI and #supercomputing resources more accessible to innovators, researchers, and industry. The AIF IRL-Antenna, announced on 13th October 2025 by James Lawless | Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, is led by the ICHEC (Irish Centre for High-End Computing), with support from other national partners such as CeADAR Ireland, PorterShed, Dogpatch Labs, RDI Hub, Republic of Work, Advancing Innovation in Manufacturing (AIM) Centre, itag & itag Skillnet and Digital Technology Skills. The AIF IRL-Antenna has been awarded €10m (evenly co-funded by the EU and DFHERIS) to provide a range of AI-focused technical resources and services to the startup/SME, public sector and research ecosystem in Ireland. The successful bid was also endorsed by Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, Enterprise Ireland and Research Ireland. Speaking about the announcement, Dave Feenan said “𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝐴𝐼𝐹 𝐼𝑅𝐿-𝐴𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑛𝑎 𝑟𝑒𝑝𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑎 𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑚𝑎𝑟𝑘 𝑜𝑝𝑝𝑜𝑟𝑡𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑡𝑜 𝑑𝑒𝑒𝑝𝑒𝑛 𝐼𝑟𝑒𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑑’𝑠 𝐴𝐼 𝑐𝑎𝑝𝑎𝑏𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑒𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑔𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑛𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑏𝑒𝑡𝑤𝑒𝑒𝑛 𝑖𝑛𝑛𝑜𝑣𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛, 𝑖𝑛𝑓𝑟𝑎𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑐𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑠𝑘𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑠.
