FactoryXChange was delighted to join Minister Niamh Smyth, Ciaran Galligan, and the Bailieborough Development Association for last weeks Digital Awareness Event in Co. Cavan. The session brought together local business owners and national support networks to explore how SMEs can take the next step in their digital journey — whether that’s adopting new technologies, improving productivity, or preparing for AI-driven change. With the National Digital Strategy setting an ambitious goal for 90% of SMEs to reach at least a basic level of digital intensity by 2030, collaboration between Government, enterprise offices, and initiatives like FactoryXChange is key. Together, we can ensure that every business — regardless of size or sector — can access the expertise, tools, and funding available to them. A huge thank you to Minister Niamh Smyth, Niall McKeon (National Enterprise Hub), Conor Craven (Local Enterprise Office Cavan), and Leanne Clarke (McCabe Feeds) for their valuable insights and for championing the message that digital transformation is for every SME. #FactoryXChange #DigitalTransformation #EDIH #SMEs #DigitalIreland #Innovation #Collaboration #NationalDigitalStrategy
This morning, I was thrilled to join a Digital Awareness Event in Bailieborough Co. Cavan, hosted by Ciaran Galligan and his team at Bailieborough Development Association. It was fantastic to hear about the range of supports that are available to Irish businesses as they seek to digitalise. Government’s National Digital Strategy aims for 90% of SMEs to achieve at least a basic level of digital intensity by 2030. The rapid pace of technological change, especially in AI, is bringing immense opportunity for our economy and society but it also means that we must stay adaptable and ready to respond. It is crucial that small businesses are aware of the supports that are available to help them to do so. Thank you to Karin Jancykova from FactoryXChange, Niall McKeon from National Enterprise Hub, Conor Craven from Local Enterprise Office Cavan, and Leanne Clarke from McCabe Feeds for sharing your expertise with our audience of small businesses in Cavan this morning.
