Fexco Women in Payments 2025 – A Day of Insight, Inclusion and Innovation On October 9th, we proudly hosted our 6th Annual Fexco Women in Payments event in Kerry, coinciding with World Sight Day. This meaningful overlap shone a spotlight on the importance of accessibility and inclusion, at the workplace. From debating the current state and impact of DEI across the world, the challenges and opportunities specific to female founders, the need to ensure inclusivity at work, the role of AI in online safety and the innovations within the space of making payments accessible to all – tough, thoughtful and hopeful insights were shared, perspectives evolved and everyone left the room learning something new. Panel Highlights: DE&I – Backslide: Rolling Backwards Karen O'Regan (Accenture) and Michelle O'Keeffe (Platform 55), moderated by Julie Banks (Fexco), explored the global headwinds facing DEI. Despite setbacks, the message was clear: we have the power to drive change and amplify voices that need to be heard. Female Founders – Challenges, Highs and Lows Gosia Keating (KPI Payments), Amy Neale (Delta Partners), and Karina Murray☘️ (AunuaGlobal), moderated by Annette Donnelly (Fexco), shared their entrepreneurial journeys. From navigating funding gaps to building diverse support networks, their advice was practical and empowering. Inclusive Workplaces Joanne McCarney & Mairead O Mahony (Vision Ireland) and Adam Kershaw (Fexco DCC), moderated by Aideen Ledwith (Fexco), discussed how to create truly inclusive environments. A key takeaway: ask, don’t assume. Check out Noonan Syndrome Association, a cause close to Adam’s heart, supporting families affected by the condition. Online Safety & AI Rena Maycock (Chirp), Joan Mulvihill, and Paul Jordan (CEDPO), moderated by Shannon O'Sullivan (Fexco), tackled the ethical use of AI and its impact on children and society. The panel urged us to take responsibility for how AI is deployed—because it’s not going away. Accessible Payments Adela Buliman (Vially), Anne Cullen (Fiserv), and E. Drew Soinski (JPMC), moderated by Sinead Mullan (Fexco), explored how inclusive design can transform financial services. Accessibility isn’t just about compliance, it’s about dignity, innovation, and equal opportunity. Keynote Conversation: Anna Daly In a candid conversation with Fexco CEO Neil Hosty, broadcaster and entrepreneur Anna Daly shared her journey from marketing to media and founding her ethical clothing brand, Little Bliss. Her reflections on online kindness were a timely reminder of the human impact behind every comment.
