How did a pioneering spirit help shape the future of Irish Whiskey? In Episode 4 of our Roll of Time series which celebrates 200 years of Midleton Distillery, we explore how a revolutionary idea marked a pivotal shift in how our whiskeys are matured. Storing casks vertically reshaped our warehouses and opened up new possibilities for innovation and experimentation, including the cask finishes that define our Single Pot Still Irish Whiskeys today. About us
Welcome to the official profile for Irish Distillers. Irish Distillers is the producer of some of the world’s most well-known and successful Irish whiskeys and one of Ireland’s leading supplier of spirits. Formed in 1966, Irish Distillers was born when a merger took place between John Power & Son, John Jameson & Son and Cork Distilleries Company. In 1988, Irish Distillers joined Pernod Ricard, gaining access to unprecedented levels of investment and an extensive global distribution network. Our portfolio of whiskeys is produced at Midleton Distillery, Co. Cork, where we push the boundaries of Irish whiskey production. Whether igniting passion for Irish whiskey with iconic brands such as Redbreast Single Pot Still and Powers, or defining the pinnacle of Irish whiskey with our Midleton Very Rare expressions, innovation is at the heart of everything we do. Today, we employ over 800 people across our operations in Cork, Dublin and Belfast. You must be of legal drinking age to follow us. Do not forward to anyone under the legal purchase age. We’re proud to unveil our fresh new family line-up. Following the evolution of Jameson Original and Jameson Black Barrel, our family redesign now extends to Jameson Crested and Jameson Distiller’s Batch (formerly known as Jameson Single Pot Still). While the liquid remains unchanged, the new design brings fresh energy and clarity to our super-premium range, inviting whiskey drinkers to explore the depth of the Jameson family. From the five-oak cask complexity of Distiller’s Batch to the tribute blend that is Jameson Crested, every detail of their new look reflects the craftsmanship of our Midleton team, led by Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman Now rolling out in Global Travel Retail, Ireland and the UK, with global expansion to follow in 2026. #Jameson #ItMustBeAJameson #TheIrishDistillersSpirit

Celebrating a century of colour, craft and character. We’re proud to mark 100 years of Green Spot with the launch of Green Spot 100 Year Anniversary Limited Edition, a bold new 10 Year Old expression developed in tribute to our earliest bottlings under Mitchell & Son. In true Spot Whiskey style, this milestone also sees a unique collaboration with sustainable paint brand YesColours, resulting in a bespoke Green Spot shade that reimagines our iconic green daub, once hand-painted on casks to signify quality and maturity. Crafted using traditional cask maturation techniques, this limited release offers an elevated flavour profile, with layers of floral honey, toffee, autumnal fruits, warming spice and signature pot still depth. From colour to character, every detail has been shaped by the values we hold dear – craft, collaboration and legacy. Here's to the next 100. #GreenSpot100 #SpotWhiskey #TheIrishDistillersSpirit

We’re thrilled to share that Jameson is now the Official Whiskey Partner of the NFL in Ireland and an Official Partner of the NFL Dublin Game, just ahead of the league’s first-ever regular season game in Dublin on September 28, when the Minnesota Vikings take on the Pittsburgh Steelers at Croke Park. This is more than just a partnership - it’s a brilliant alignment of two cultural icons: the unmistakable spirit of Jameson and the global force of the NFL. Together, they demonstrate what’s possible when we create meaningful, memorable moments that bring people together around the world. We’ll be welcoming football fans to Dublin the way we know best: with openness, energy, and a glass of something smooth. A huge thank you to everyone who brought this bold and exciting partnership to life - including our partners at the NFL, our colleagues and the incredible Jameson Brand team . #Jameson #NFL

Today we’re proud to announce the next chapter in our partnership with Ancestry®, the global leader in family history, with the digitisation of Midleton Distillery barley purchase records from the period 1825–1834, a project spearheaded by our Head of Archives Carol Quinn and the team at Ancestry who worked on digitally imaging and indexing the records with great skill and care. In doing so, together we are making more historic records held in the Irish Distillers archives accessible to people around the world. Previous collaborations with Ancestry have seen the digitisation from the firm John Jameson & Son of over one million employee records spanning more than a century and also historical agreements with Irish publicans. This latest release brings to light Midleton Distillery’s barley purchase books from the period 1825–1834. These unique ledgers document transactions from the early years of James Murphy & Co., capturing the names of East Cork farmers who supplied barley to Midleton distillery. These records may be the only surviving record of their lives and work during the pre-famine period. In publishing these volumes, we are preserving an important piece of Irish social and whiskey heritage and offering a remarkable new resource for genealogical research, all while demonstrating the role company archives can play in supplementing our documentary heritage. To celebrate our partnership with the global leader in family history and 200 years of distilling at Midleton, access is complimentary for a limited time on: https://lnkd.in/epZKJQfh #Midleton200 #Ancestry #familyhistory #Archives #EastCork

It was a pleasure to welcome William Walsh and the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) board to Midleton Distillery last week where we had the opportunity to showcase how Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) support and expertise is helping Irish Distillers achieve its sustainability objectives.
This week in Cork, we saw first-hand how investing in sustainable energy can drive down energy costs, increase competitiveness and transform workplaces and communities. Together with the SEAI Board, I visited some fantastic initiatives we’ve been able to support with Government funding from the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment: 👉Midleton Distillery — where €3.5m Government investment in a waste-heat recovery system is cutting natural gas use, lowering costs and making the business more competitive, while reducing emissions. 👉 Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind — who received funding for solar panels and insulation, helping them save on energy bills so more resources can go into their vital mission. No Roy Keane unfortunately but lots of very happy - and warmer dogs 🐕 We also had the chance to meet with Simon Coveney and Simon MacAllister (EY) for a fascinating discussion on the geopolitical landscape, and Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI)’s mission as Ireland’s sustainable energy authority fits within that bigger picture. A wonderful opportunity to reflect, regroup, and look ahead to the rest of the year. #Sustainability #EnergyEfficiency #CleanEnergy #Ireland #Leadership
