Something truly special took place for our Little Blue Heroes in Wexford on Saturday with thanks to An Garda Síochána Wexford and the incredible Wells House & Gardens for a day filled with pride, joy, and community spirit including some Halloween characters who added a touch of magic on the day. It was wonderful to see so many of our local Little Blue Heroes who officially graduated as Honorary Gardaí. A moment was also taken to remember friends who couldn’t be with us. Congratulations to our newest Little Blue Heroes Callie Murphy, Mia Lily Ruttle, MJ Mahood, Sean Og Ring, Matthew Begley, Sean Peters & Cathal Dunbar. Congratulations to Archie HG 536 who was over the moon with the presentation of his Honorary Garda uniform and some gifts by Garda Gerhard Keller, Garda Michael Devaney, Garda Eve Morrissey and Garda Grainne McHugh from the Coolock Community Policing Unit. Our hearts are saddened with An Garda Síochána Meath and Garda Sabrina Murray to hear the sad news on the passing of her Garda buddy, Honorary Garda Emma Curtis (HG 499), who passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. 💙 A huge Little Blue Heroes thank you to 16-year-old Christopher Monaghan and his incredible friends, who pushed a bed from Bundoran to Mountcharles (over 40km!) this August to raise funds in honour of Christopher’s sister, Honorary Garda Aisling, and the support she received from Little Blue Heroes. Thanks to their determination—and the amazing community who cheered them on and donated—they raised a whopping €19,286.40! On Monday, Christopher and the team presented the cheque to Garda Maeve Logue, Garda Jim Connolly, Garda Mary Thornton & Garda Yvonne Carolan. 🙌 A special thank you to Donegal Online for helping to promote the fundraiser, and to the Gardaí in Donegal for their fantastic support throughout. 🙏 We are so grateful to Christopher, his team, and everyone who donated or came out to support.
