  • ✨McHugh’s Centra Edenmore celebrates 63 years in business and a very special birthday A proud milestone for our Centra retailers, the McHugh Group – celebrating 63 years in Edenmore with a major revamp of their spacious state-of-the-art Centra store. 🎂 Friday 10th October, was a very happy occasion for the McHugh family not only marking the 63rd anniversary of McHugh’s service in Edenmore but also the 91st birthday of Gerry McHugh, founder of the McHugh Group. The establishment of Centra Edenmore was closely followed by Centra Rosemount (1999), Centra Greendale (2003), and Centra Kilbarrack Road (2003), cementing the group’s reputation as a key local retailer and employer. The buzz around the store from the local community and colleagues was infectious and celebratory where some 20 people were given an Award for their long term service. 🎈 From one small store in 1962 to a third-generation family business employing over 300 people today, their story is proof of how strong local roots, community support, and forward-thinking can create lasting success and lift an entire community. ✨ The McHugh’s marked the special occasion by donating a cheque for 6,300 euros to St. Francis Hospice, a local charity who do incredible work. Congratulations to Gerry, Diarmuid, Charlie, Cathal, Sean, Neasa and the entire McHugh team on this momentous achievement.   Ryan Ashe Marketing Manager Luke Hanlon CDir, St. Francis Hospice Cormac Dawson Diarmuid Mc Hugh, Eimear Kellett, Lisa McGirr
