Last week at an event in the Central Bank of Ireland An Taoiseach Micheál Martin and Minister of State Robert Troy joined Fiona Gallagher (CEO of Wells Fargo Bank International and Chair of Ireland’s Women in Finance Charter), and Dr. Helen Russell of the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) to launch the third annual report of Ireland's Women in Finance Charter.   Since its inception in 2022, the Charter has grown to over 100 signatory firms, representing more than half of all employees in the sector. The 2025 report, compiled by the ESRI, shows strong progress in female representation at senior levels:   🔹 43.4% in senior management (up from 36.2%) 🔹 36.3% at board level (up from 30.3%) 🔹 22.6% at CEO level (up from 19.4%)   Congratulations to our colleagues in Financial Services Ireland (FSI), one of the founding industry partners leading this initiative, alongside Banking & Payments Federation Ireland, Insurance Ireland, and Irish Funds. Their leadership and commitment are helping to drive real, measurable change across the sector.   Congratulations to all the signatory firms for their continued ambition and action. Going for Growth – a programme for ambitious female entrepreneurs who are seeking to increase revenue, create employment, and explore new market opportunities – is today accepting applications for its 18th cycle. The programme to aid female business owners in all sectors is supported by Enterprise Ireland and KPMG and is free of charge for those selected to participate. More than 1,000 women have completed Going for Growth since it started in 2008. Applications close on November 21. Application forms can be requested from the website – www.GoingforGrowth.com.
