    Played a key role in a series of town planning projects in close collaboration with Kerry County Council (KCC). The approach has been recognised at EU level, where Killorglin was highlighted as an example of best practice for “Smart Village” engagement. This planning informed the "Killorglin Socio-Economic Plan" (author - Ian Dempsey, Prescience).

    Formed and chaired voluntary working group to design and deliver the hugely successful food festival "Flavour of Killorglin" in July 2012, during a severe recession which particularly impacted rural communities in Ireland. The following year "The Gathering Year" - I brought community together to deliver 5 festivals with government support. Arts festival "KFest" continues to take place every June Bank Holiday weekend.
