More than 6,500 SMEs have been directly supported by the National Enterprise Hub in the first year since its launch. The National Enterprise Hub is an initiative of the Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment and Enterprise Ireland and brings together information and resources on over 250 Government supports from 30 different departments and state agencies. Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Peter Burke, praised the NEH’s performance over the past year, stating: “With over 6,500 companies engaging in its first 12 months, the National Enterprise Hub has proven effective in streamlining and simplifying access for SMEs to government supports, equipping them with vital digital and sustainability resources to navigate rising costs and stay competitive." The Hub involves the Departments of Finance, Social Protection, Agriculture, Food and the Marine as well as Local Enterprise Offices, IDA Ireland, InterTradeIreland, Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), Fáilte Ireland, Skillnet Ireland, Bord Bia - The Irish Food Board, Design & Crafts Council Ireland, Microfinance Ireland, (SBCI) Strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland, Teagasc, Údarás na Gaeltachta, SOLAS (An tSeirbhís Oideachais Leanúnaigh agus Scileanna) and the Western Development Commission. On behalf of the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, Research Ireland have launched Global Talent Ireland. Global Talent Ireland aims to attract exceptional mid-career and established researchers from across the globe to Ireland. The programme comprises recruitment of mid-career Rising Stars and established Research Leaders. Global Talent Ireland will fund research across all disciplines within Research Ireland’s remit, with a focus on strategic areas of importance to Ireland. The deadline for Expression of Interest is 28th August 2025, with full-proposal deadline in October 2025. Integrity360 has confirmed it has appointed Stephen Phillips as their Head of Public Sector for Ireland. In this role, Stephen will oversee the strategic direction and expansion of the company’s public sector business and capability. This will include enhancing cyber security services and strategies tailored to address the requirements of government and public institutions in Ireland. Ireland is too reliant on foreign direct investment (FDI) and urgently needs to back indigenous companies to diversify the economy, Denis O’Brien has said. “We need to double down on Enterprise Ireland.
