We are proud to support Fidelity International on the launch of the first Irish-domiciled UCITS ETF to use the new semi-transparent portfolio disclosure rules, recently approved by the Central Bank of Ireland. We expect this innovation will help deliver investors additional choice through a structure that combines the efficiency, flexibility, and tradability of an ETF with the ability to help protect the intellectual property of active investment strategies.

We recently hosted an event for the MiFID investment firm sector, which focused on our Regulatory and Supervisory Outlook for 2025, as well as our new supervisory framework and what it means for the sector.    The event was attended by 140 sector representatives, along with representatives from Irish MiFID Industry Association (IMIA) and Banking & Payments Federation Ireland.   We discussed our overarching supervisory priorities, key sectoral risks, and planned supervisory actions. We also spoke about the key safeguarding outcomes that inform our approach to supervision, which include: ➡️ The protection of consumers’ and investors’ interests ➡️ Safeguarding the integrity of the financial system ➡️ The safety and soundness of firms ➡️ Financial stability   The event concluded with a Q&A, covering topics such as our new supervisory framework, simplification and burden reduction, and AI.   Learn more about the Regulatory and Supervisory Outlook for 2025 in the comments.

Yesterday, the Central Bank published two consultation papers outlining its proposed changes to its domestic AIFMD and UCITS frameworks. These include a number of proposed changes to the existing Irish QIAIF regime to better support the establishment and operation of private asset funds in Ireland. Bank of Ireland has today published its H125 results, reporting PBT of €721m and ROTE of 14.8%. This reflects strong strategic execution, with AUM, Irish loans and deposits growing, supporting an upgraded outlook for net interest income in FY25 and beyond.    Myles O'Grady O’Grady, Bank of Ireland Group CEO: “The Group had a good H1 performance, with a profit before tax of €0.7 billion and is on track to deliver its full year targets. Irish private equity firm erisbeg closes €175m fund targeting SME growth. The raise, which follows an initial close of €100m in December, drew renewed support from AIB, Bank of Ireland, and Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF), alongside new commitments from investors in Norway, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Erisbeg, founded by Alan K., Thomas Davy, Robert Burns, and Andrew Murphy, focuses on business services companies in Ireland with ambitions for international expansion. Alan Kerr, co-founder of Erisbeg, said: “This fund raise took shape in a matter of months, thanks to the support of our Irish and international institutional investors.
