Enterprise Ireland’s investment mission, led by Minister Peter Burke and supported by the Global Irish Business Unit, aimed to deepen ties with Ireland’s largest homegrown multinationals. The mission focused on encouraging these companies to expand operations in Ireland, engage more with the local entrepreneurial and research ecosystems, and contribute greater value to the national economy. This initiative aligns with Enterprise Ireland’s broader 2025–2029 strategy to accelerate sustainable Irish business by supporting 1,000 new start-ups, creating 275,000 jobs, and achieving €50bn in export sales. The agency is committed to helping Irish-owned companies grow internationally and scale faster, with a goal of supporting 150 large exporting firms by 2029. Enterprise Ireland's Pre-Seed Start Fund (PSSF) offers early-stage Irish startups €50,000 or €100,000 in funding via a Convertible Loan Note (CLN) to help develop products, build teams, and reach key milestones needed to secure future seed investment. The fund supports startups with global potential, helping cover operational costs, product testing, and skill development. The Irish BICs (Business Innovation Centres) provide hands-on support throughout the application process. Creating Inclusive Pathways into Employment This weekend on RTÉ Radio 1, our CEO Adam Harris spoke about a powerful shift underway in the Irish insurance industry — one that’s focused on making the sector accessible to Autistic talent. That conversation marked the official launch of the Autism Accessible Employer Charter, a joint initiative between AsIAm and the Insurance Ireland Inclusion Taskforce. This Charter is designed to support Insurance Ireland member companies in assessing and developing inclusive hiring and workplace practices, with the goal of better attracting, retaining, and progressing Autistic employees. At its core, this initiative aims to create more meaningful employment opportunities, recognising the mutual benefit for autistic people and for businesses seeking untapped talent. With as many as 85% of Autistic people in Ireland unemployed or underemployed, the need for change is urgent. We are proud to work with progressive industry leaders who are taking this challenge seriously and taking action. We’re also encouraging companies across all sectors to consider becoming Autism-Friendly Employers by joining the AsIAm Employer Partnership Programme. Northern Ireland’s Department of Finance has awarded Version 1 Software a major contract as delivery partner for its #Integr8 programme - a 5yr contract with options to run for five more over two periods, and valued at between £63 million and £150 million.
