Ever since Eyal Melamed joined as our VP R&D, we've been having some incredible, thought-provoking conversations. These aren't your typical executive check-ins. We get into the weeds on the technical challenges that fascinate us both - the kind of deep infrastructure work that brought Eyal to Rise in the first place. We talk about what it truly takes to make AI work at scale in ad tech - a massive undertaking that spans tackling infrastructure challenges, processing hundreds of trillions of data points in real-time, and building auction systems that simply never fail. Eyal calls our Smart Auction Management technology "one of the most sophisticated AI-powered auction engines in the industry." Coming from someone who’s seen and navigated scale at some of the most advanced tech organizations, that hits differently. This piece came out today about his take on what we've built here. https://lnkd.in/dbuSK2Nd Honestly, during all these conversations, one thing became clear to me: we’ve spent so much time building that we haven’t shared how we actually think differently about AI infrastructure. We’re built on a foundation of big data expertise - processing hundreds of trillions of data points every single day (take a moment to let that sink in..). We’ve engineered AI-based autoscaling that maintains performance at millions of requests per second. Our optimization models don’t hide behind black-box magic - they deliver transparent, explainable results. And now, we’re layering Gen-AI on top of an infrastructure that already runs at scale like few others can imagine. So something this big calls for something new: Every week, I'll be sharing insights from our journey building AI-driven programmatic technology - the technical and strategic thinking behind systems that actually work in production. Excited to share the lessons we're learning while building AI at scale. P.S. Curious what you see here — authentic photo or AI-generated?

On the Machine Learning Podcast, hosted by Tobias Macey, Buildots’ VP of Product & Engineering, Ori, joined the conversation to explore how AI and computer vision are helping construction teams track progress, identify root causes of delay, and forecast risks across projects without adding tasks for site crews. Already used across 1.4 billion sq ft of projects, from airports to data centers, Ori explains how Buildots AI helps teams reduce waste and take back control. 🎧 Catch the full conversation here: https://lnkd.in/eAmQpvvN #Construction #ConstructionAI #Constructiontech

𝐈𝐬𝐫𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐈. That’s the bold perspective from our own Eyal Niv, Managing Partner at Pitango First, in CTech by Calcalist’s VC AI Survey. Israel is already active across the entire AI stack, from infrastructure to applications, and has the talent, vision, and ambition to lead globally. As Eyal explains, the future will belong to 𝐀𝐈-𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐈-𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩𝐬 with defensible moats built on unique datasets, not just “AI wrappers.” At Pitango, we’ve seen this firsthand across our portfolio: companies like AI21 Labs, DriveNets, AA-I, PsiQuantum, Quantum Source, Volumez and more are proving that Israel’s edge in deep tech and AI infrastructure is only getting stronger. Bottom line: What makes a lasting company? Unique data, defensibility, and founders willing to build for the long term. Where does Israel fit? Anywhere it chooses. Thank you to Sigalit Ben Hayoun and Yael Steinhart for inviting me to talk to Tel Aviv University Alumni Organization — and to Assaf Gilad for moderating the discussion. Time really does fly 😅 and it was a real privilege to be back to discuss just how much has changed in tech since I first started, including the recent groundbreaking new leaps into AI. What’s incredible is the pace of innovation in this field. Current market estimates range from 3-7 years until AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) is achieved (AI systems surpassing human cognitive abilities). When this is achieved one can expect the pace of change to be the fastest we’ve ever seen in history 📈 Technology and AI is neutral - neither good or bad. What matters is what we (humans) choose to do with it. With good intent, AGI could help solve some of the biggest global challenges (health, longevity, climate change, scientific discovery). With bad intent, it can create even bigger global challenges with significant risks. That is why Google’s motto on AI is so important - to be “bold and responsible”. The stakes have never been higher. Hope humanity rises to the moment, does the right thing, and makes the right choices 🌍 Adding below in comments the link to the full discussion (tip: if you just want a summary, past the link directly into Gemini 🪄) #TelAvivUniversityAlumni #GoogleAI

We have been mapping the Israeli Generative AI landscape since ChatGPT came out more or less. In the latest version, published on Thursday, we've mapped 342 startups that collective raised over $20 billion. More than half of the new companies we've added this year possess agentic AI capabilities. Can Israeli startups compete globally in Generative AI? Absolutely. 🇮🇱 Israel is emerging as a global GenAI hub, with the highest AI talent concentration (Stanford 2024) and a culture of deep tech innovation. 📈 The number of GenAI startups has nearly doubled in a year 🔐 The categories that saw the most growth this year were cyber and healthcare, followed by LLM ops and marketing tools 💡 Global VCs (like Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia Capital and Insight Partners) are doubling down on elite Israeli talent, while global R&D centres including NVIDIA are planning multi billion expansion plans in Israel. ⚙️ Despite global headwinds, the Israeli startup ecosystem is proving resilient, resourceful, and opportunity-driven—especially in tackling GenAI’s toughest challenges: privacy, cost, trust, and explainability. At Remagine Ventures we've made over 13 investments in GenAI startups at pre-seed are bullish on big wins ahead. Link to the landscape evolution in the first comment below 👇

The startup nation has done it again! 👏🏼 Google for Startups just announced the first cohort of its Growth Academy: AI for GovTech, with 25 companies that leverage AI to assist governments and improve life for citizens across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. And among those selected companies, there is an Israeli startup: CargoSeer, that streamlines how customs agencies check international cargo shipments using AI. I’m humbled to see founders who bring fresh solutions to the complex problems societies have been trying to solve for years and even decades. And so proud of how Google& Google for Startups Israel supports the ecosystem and helps innovative startups make a real difference in the world!
