During the FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) National Executive Committee Meeting, he highlighted that most produce from J&K currently leaves the region in its raw form, limiting industrial growth locally. For instance, only 4–5% of the Union Territory’s dairy production is processed within J&K, leaving a huge opportunity for investment in food processing and allied industries. Despite recent challenges, including natural calamities and a downturn in tourism, the administration is optimistic about economic revival. The government is working towards sustainable and competitive industrial growth in areas like: ✅ Agriculture & Horticulture ✅ Handicrafts & Packaging ✅ Electronics & Pharmaceuticals ✅ Cement & Infrastructure With new road connectivity projects like the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway and the four-laning of Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, J&K is poised to attract logistics, investment, and industrial growth. A clear message for industry leaders: J&K is ready for value-driven investments and transformative growth in agriculture and beyond. #JammuAndKashmir #AgricultureGrowth #ValueAddition #FoodProcessing #IndustrialGrowth #InvestmentOpportunities #SustainableDevelopment #EconomicRevival #FICCI #InnovationInAgri #CMOmarAbdullah #AgriBusiness #InfrastructureDevelopment

When we talk about India’s agricultural growth, it’s not just about yields; it’s also about people at the core of it. The farmers. I recently sat down with Haris Khan on The Agri Today Show by Haris to reflect on India’s journey of agri transformation. Over the years, I’ve witnessed how science, innovation, and policy have changed the face of Indian agriculture. But what truly defines progress is how these changes reach our farmers and how it translates into empowerment, prosperity, and profitable growth. We discussed about: - How collaboration and innovation can strengthen India’s position as a global agri leader. - Why inclusivity, between farmers, policymakers, and industry, is essential for sustainable growth. - How Crystal has maintained the fine balance between business success and farmer well-being, and how that balance shapes leadership in agriculture today. Thank you, Haris, for having me on the show!
