And we’re wrapped! We took our latest Brennan Breakfast Forums on the road, meeting with IT leaders across the country to talk about what's really happening with cloud strategies in 2025. Here's what came up again and again: ☁️ Finding the right home for your workloads matters. Hybrid and adaptive cloud aren't just buzzwords. They're how organisations are getting practical about where things actually run best - right Cloud for the right workload, underpinned by well architected principles, patterns, automation and orchestration. ☁️ Phase 2 is calling. Most migrations are done. Now it's time to actually transform and optimise what you moved, not just run it the same way in a different place. With budgets under close scrutiny, justifying the investment to transform needs to clearly define the business value it will deliver, and measure it. ☁️ Split your strategy. Optimise and transform your Business-critical applications for AI, innovation, and agility. Optimise your tier 2 workload estate for cost and operational performance. Different applications require different approaches based on the value they deliver to the business. ☁️ Cloud migration still outpaces repatriation. Despite the headlines, more workloads are moving to cloud than coming back. The real conversation is about which workloads shouldn't move in the first place, not wholesale retreat from public cloud. Changes in regulation, the need for sovereign solutions and edge compute priorities underpinned the discussion. ☁️ Being AI Ready. Innovating on an unstable base will spin cycles and struggle to deliver outcomes & value. To be able to leverage AI ensure you must have a well architected Cloud architecture, a modern Data platform underpinned by governance, and an operating model that can adapt to incorporate AI agents and tooling. This shouldn't be done in isolation as it must align to an organisations vision on AI policy, stewardship, governance, change and usage.   Thanks to everyone who joined us for honest conversations about the messy reality of cloud transformation.
